Agree, he is hysterical.  Complete with British accent which makes it more funny.

And once again, Angie takes the prize for best dressed.  Helena Bonham Carter close second for worst.

I will agree with Helena Bonham Carter being among the worst dressed. But I guess that's her quirky personality. I was somewhat shocked with Sandra Bullock's look. Not her best.

I wasn't crazy about the color green on Angie, although she did look elegant.  Green looked great on Catherine Zeta Jones.  My favorite was Olivia Wilde, she looked amazing, very much the 'French Girl' look. http://www.popsugar.com/Pictures-Olivia … -13288258?

Most of the men looked very nice.

Ricky Gervais was the funniest part of the Golden Globes, and I'm not an atheist.  The way he doesn't care about what people think or sugar coat anything, just brings me to hysterical laughter.

yes, thrilled for Trent Reznor winning the globe for best score with Social Network.

I don't know who she was but I loved the black ball gown the young woman was wearing who presented for Best Foreign Film.

Of course, some in the US are now taking great offense that Gervaise said:

"Thank God I'm an atheist" smile

People really have to stop getting so offended over things others say. He said it about himself.

The best comment was that this is supposed to be a classy event. Since when? The Golden Globes are the poorer cousin of the Emmys and the Oscars. It's an entertainment awards show...it's not the Nobel Prize...

I think the GGs are in a separate class because they are given by the foreign press, not Hollywood.  In that sense they are prestigious in their own right.

If you can look beyond the 'entertainment' factor, you'll see that it is an art form.  Writing scripts for great movies, and for comedy is not as easy as it might seem.  Designing sets, creating costumes, researching period pieces, etc.  And studying characters like Jack and the King, then portraying them accurately might take a bit of talent, wouldn't you agree?  Al Pacino is no slouch in the acting department.

The Nobel Prize?  We don't need to go there considering the past few winners.  lol

I haven't read any reviews yet, but I knew as soon as I heard his closing comment, it wasn't the last time we would hear it.

by the second half of these award shows, I'm sure many are drunk by the time they hit the stage. Colin Firth looked a little wobbly as he approached the stage. I still haven't seen his movie, I want to see it. I love all of his movies.

classy? Hollywood? hmm, when you have millions at your disposal, anyone can look classy. I think we elevate celebrities way over the top.

I don't find Ricky Gervais funny at all.  Most of his jokes were practically booed/bombed.  I guess I just don't get it....

I was very happy for Glee's wins.  It's a good show.
