I must have been a bad boy ...  my score on my profile page keeps going down.

I started really making hubs with gusto on a Christmas break and haven't been able to build as quickly recently.

Not sure if that's it or whether I've broken some other taboo unknown to me.

Don't worry profile hubscore always changes regardless of whether or not you published a new hub, or did not etc..

Usually, it will stay around a few points though.

It was in the 80's but is down now. Thanks. I'll just try to keep writing.

Increase your profile score by participating more in the forums, question and answers, and writing more hubs. But it will not be steady. It always fluctuates but it will be within a certain range. Good luck.

I already do that but have done less due to other work. But thanks for the ideas.

I think there must be something quite wrong if you were in the eighties, but have fallen to the lower seventies. Hope one of our 'expert Hubbers' can shed light onto what it is.

    Do you have..

    - Any duplicate content in your hubs?

    - Lots of backlinks to one or two domains, within one hub or across them?

    - A lot of unfinished hubs?

    - Any flagged hubs?

Those are usually the most common things I see that pull down scores quickly.

Good input here. If your score does keep falling, these could be some of the reasons. Other than that, the score fluctuates...

Just one uncompleted hub I haven't had time to finish. No other problems you mention I'm aware of...

    Chuck

Having had a quick look at the quality of your hubs I'm surprised your score is so low.   I'd would have expected you to be closer to 90 than 70.
Its therefore worth checking the points lrohner made.
Here's wishing you a rising HubScore!

None that I can see. Just one hub I have been working on. I may just delete it. The topic seemed good at the time but now it bores me...!

I have found it quite normal for my score to drop after putting up new hubs, ten would not surprise me.  It may just be that you are constantly adding new hubs and gien a bit of time it will rise.  I don't think the scores actually mean a lot unless they are very low or very high TBH.  Certainly don't let the score worry you or put you off - just keep on and it will come together - assuming you have not done anything as pointed out above, but I assume you have already checked for notices flags and explosive devices ?

Isn't below 75 'no follow' or something?

You may be right about that - but I would think the scores would drift back up given a little time ?

Yes, that's the cut off point.

    Chuck,

You may have a few of clickbanks or overly promotional hubs, that usually makes the score go low as I read in Forum once.

If I ever receive a "flag" when saving a hub, I remedy it there. None of my hubs is allowed to remain if a "nasty" message shows.

I was interested in this because of watching a fellow hubber's score fall.  I don't know how they determine what your score should be.  I watched my own score fluctuate about 5 or 7 points before.  Reading some of the replies, I wondered how do you even know if someone has flagged you?  I have never been flagged, but maybe I have and don't know about it.  All this stuff is such a mystery........
