hello guys, I am new to hubpages. I found this site really helpful to a beginner that wants to learn some tips on how to write an article and the community is very nice.
I have experience of writing some novels or some articles here in our country but in other language not in English, so my first problem right now is my grammar and I am quite conscious about writing in English afraid of having trouble with my grammar, though I could understand but I am not really confident.
What I am doing right now is constantly reading grammar ebook and watching videos about English grammar. I'm trying to write an article in English to practice my mind to this. Do you have any suggestions for me to do? English is not my mother tongue.
My another problem is what to write, I am a writer that writes experiences that I encounter in everyday or writing what I want, but I want to become a full time freelance writer ( thank god I found this site to ask these questions and learn more! ) but I am not used to write stuff like copywriters do or being a versatile writer like writing products or anything my boss will ask me to write. What can you say about this? do I have to stick to my niche and become a constant content writer or try to learn little by little to become a versatile writer ?
Sorry if there are some grammar errors.
Thank you very much looking for your answers.
God bless you all.
To start with welcome to HP , you have done quite well, just a few minor errors.
Write what you are passionate about.... learn more about keyword research so that what you write is search Engine optimized. The learning center link is at the bottom of this page ...scroll down
Read up the stuff here too... http://hubpages.com/faq/
You need to post your hub link here for comments and help!
Read, read and write, write and write that is the only way to learn!!
You will be well on your way.
Have a great time here!
thank you so much for answering my questions, I'm a bit shy to ask those questions hehe, but many thanks to your help.
Yeah I will post my hub here for comments and suggestions to improve my writing.
Your English is really good for someone new to our language. Practice and you will improve. Read and you will get better at knowing how we use words.
Don't assume everyone here on HubPages is proficient in the English language even if they were born here. I see many mistakes daily.
Welcome to Hubpages!
Hi! Well, I still consider myself as a "newbie" even if I'm here for almost 2 months already but your name called me and it feels as though I have to give some advise. hihihi
It is true that Filipinos were very conscious when it comes to grammar, in a reason that my brain could not explain. Pero yung mga simple errors na kinakatakutan mo eh di naman talaga napapansin ng mga taong ang official language ay english. Example, parang yung 'rin' at 'din' natin, may rule yun diba, pero madalas di nasusunod. As long as the thought was there, and naiintindihan. approved yun! Ganun din sila, yung mga simple errors na napapansin ng english teacher mo, sa kanila ok lang yun. kaya go ka lang! mukha namang ok yung english mo eh..
I agree with their comments. And you're on the right path, read a lot, it'll help you.
There are lots of Filipinos here. and honestly, mas takot pa nga akong mabasa nila yung mga sulat ko... Marami pa kong gustong sabihin pero, mahaba na to masyado. and I'm not on the right position to give you a lot advise since 3 palang naman yung hubs ko..hehehe..enjoy lang! you'll learn a lot along the way! Good luck!
Thanks Pamela N Red for replying to this thread,
Extinct Soul - Ay maraming Salamat., nice, sabi ko nga ba makabibingwit ako ng pinoy dahil sa name ko eh ahaha! At first talagang nahihiya ako magpost ng question like this, thank you very much I learned a lot from your words, kahit papaano tumaas yung self esteem ko, ahaha.
If you need help, I'll be just around the forums ...I'll could suggest a lot of nice elite residents that could help you in here..hehehe

I tried to set up a hub when I first signed up but it became very confusing. I need some help but didn't get it. I want to write but am not sure what. I have my own ideas but it seemed that I had to choose from a group of ideas that had nothing to do with me and what I...

More and more, forum users are telling people that they do not have the required skills to write on Hubpages.Others, seem to believe there is a duty to defend the website's borders against incursions from the foreign hordes. In this case, "foreign" seems to involve anyone or...

Is hubpages in danger of being over-run by writers from India who can't write proper English? I went to a hubpages question yesterday, and half the answers were from Indian hubbers who didn't understand the question but felt compelled to answer it anyway. It's not just answers. More than half of the...

I'm sorry if this post offends anybody, but I am really getting tired of people who basically are non English speakers showing up, throwing a hub together without expending any effort to read the forums or the learning center to find out what they should be doing, and then asking for help to...

Why when I search the featured hubs sections do I often find poor quality hubs written by hubbers who have not been active on HP for ages? This is not a one off. I also find hubs that lack good grammar and have images without attribution. Isn't there some way to improve these sections? How are...
