According to Google analytics, the primary keyword phrase used to find my hub page on Champagne Glasses for New Years Eve is...wait for it:

“is the environmental world better now or the future?”

How in Sam Hill does “environmental world....” relate in any way, shape or form to champagne glasses?

The word “environmental” isn’t in this article.

The viewing time is 2 seconds. The bounce rate is 9%. These analytics are impossible.

What Google is telling me is that most visitors find the champagne glass hub by typing in “is the environmental world better now or the future?” then the visitors zip down the hub in 2 seconds, find the one single link to another hub at the bottom and click out of the champagne hub.

    This isn’t making any sense.

Well...at least you HAVE Google Analytics!  I have tried countless times to link my Adsense account to analytics with no success.  I can't seem to get past that same video showing how to do it.  After hitting that button for new signups, the page never transfers away from that demo video.

Any ideas?  I would appreciate any help in a simple to understand Step 1, step 2, step 3.  In other words I need Google Analytics for Dummies.

      Thanking in advance.

If you Google that phrase, you will see that this hub (http://hubpages.com/hub/What-will-the-w … 100-years-) is the #3 result on page 1.

If you view the hub, you will see that your hub on champagne flutes shows up as a related hub. The 2 seconds time on the hub makes sense, as I don't think the two hubs are related. So people are probably checking out your hub to see what they're missing, realizing it's not what they want and then just leaving.

So...it's not an Analytics thing. It's a HubPages thing. smile

Now it makes sense. Another piece of the Google/Hubpages secret universe revealed to me.

I guess it also explains the "russian cat names" keyword hits on my cat hubpage.

      thanks, lrohner
