It relates to the frequency with which you have linked to other hubber's articles in your own.

You can get a share of the other hub's ad revenue if you use your tracker in the link.

I don't remember the take. It is small - maybe 10%?  I honestly do not remember.

                See http://hubpages.com/hub/Hubpages_Referrals

I think there is a better hub, but I can't think of it right now.

Problem is you only get that percentage for so many minutes after you post the referral, which seems to me like buying a raffle ticket. I mean what are the odds that in say 120 minutes the other hub will not only generate a viewing from your tracker link, but that the person who clicked on it will then also click on an advert? I honestly can't see it being worth the time it takes to set it up when any slight chance of financial gain is over and done with so fast (unless I am missing something in FAQ on referrals and trackers).

              Full info is below:

I think you may have read it wrong.  I read it that it's not 120 minutes after you post, it's 120 minutes after someone clicks your referral - which seems to me extremely generous!

If someone clicks on your link to a specific Hub, you are entitled to the traffic referral impressions for 120 minutes.

Ahhh, thanks for clarifying that, I must admit I thought the idea of only ever getting a one off 120 mins of potential income did seem rather a waste of time. As you describe it seems much better, might try it after all if I can fully work out setting up the whole Tracker thing.

Oh, don't think for a minute that it is clarified. There is another thread that says HP may pull the plug on internal referrals like this.  We mortals have no idea what the gods are planning..
