If anyone would be so kind as to help me set up my Google analytics link up to my hub pages profile I would appreciate it.
I am having trouble getting it to except the URL I am putting in. I have tried a few different ways but I am obviously not doing it properly. I have been trying it for nearly two weeks now and I think at this stage I Need help :-(
It keeps coming back at me with the message invalid input when I put my URL in the box and then put in Hub Pages in the account name box..
I think it is that I am inputting my URL incorrect? I have read the instructions, and watched the video, but I am just not getting it?
This is the part I am getting stuck with????
Website's URL: http:// https:// (e.g. www.mywebsite.com)
my profile URL is
I recommend trying simply "hubpages.com" (without the quote-marks, no "http" or "www"). That is what I and others are using, regardless of what the Learning Center says. You are not the first person to report problems.
Thanks Website Examiner for the quick reply.
sorry but do you mean put hubpaes.com in the url box ? where do I put my profile name or do I not ?
Is the account name I am putting in correct "Hup Pages" in the second box?
so sorry for all the questions Garlic angel
I am not sure about what boxes you are talking about. The Learning Center, I believe, says to use the profile URL. I have simply used hubpages.com. Either one should work. In either case, you should not include "http://" or "www."
So that would be either
In the affiliate settings section of the HubPages control panel, you do not put any URL, but your Google Analytics affiliate ID.
Ok thank you I will try the hubpages.com one now on its own. I have tried your first sugestion. I have also tried it with and without the http and www etc etc
no I am putting it in the page that comes up 'sign in' not the affiliate page.
I will try it now
Website Examiner YOU ARE MY NEW BEST FRIEND Thank you soooooo much ... I GOT IT ...
I did as you said and just put in 'hubpages.com'
I have been trying so many different ways and have lost a few nights sleep over this, so tonight I will sleep soundly thanks to you..

I'm trying to add HubPages to my Google Analytics but it keeps saying that the website URL is invalid and won't let me create an account. Could it be because there's a plus sign in my profile name? (i.e. hubpages.com/profile/Susan+Ng) How do I work around it? That's the URL that appears when I view...

I have been monitoring my real time traffic for the past week. I have noticed that the active page is sometimes listed as "/". Does anyone know what that means? The last time it happened I checked and it was listed as a social visitor, and I think the source is from Hubpages.
