I had a couple hubs flagged as duplicate. It is my own work, I thought I had revised it good enough. Guess not. Today I rewrote the 2 hubs again and edited them here. I am curious to know how long will it take for the duplicate flag to go away once resubmitted and passed?
Two out of the three I posted have that too! I only got here yesterday! The work is mine, but is also on my Wordpress blog, is that the problem?
If you are confident your re-write fixed the duplicate issue - you may have to email the hubpages team and ask them to review your changes and remove the notice, I'm not sure it automatically disappears.
also, if you have done revisions on a flagged hub and resubmitted it, it could take a few days for it to be checked and okayed. If it has been given the go ahead the flag should be gone. check your email for stuff from the hubteam about the issue. And others cant see the flags, only you.
its not really a rewriting issue, its whether or not the work is already on the web elsewhere.
here's what the help sect says--
"You are allowed to post content on HubPages that is also published elsewhere, like your own site or blog—but you may not place any promotional links on that Hub. Your Hub may also be moderated for duplicate content in cases where we determine there is substantial similarity to another work. This includes close paraphrasing, among other forms of misappropriation or copying of content."

Hubbers,My latest Dexter review is being blocked, essentially, by HubPages. They are saying it requires revision for all sorts of reasons. I will post the exact warning below. But, it is a 100% original, handwritten article! WTF?! It is a review. Obviously things like the title of the episode are...

I was reading a Hub on Hubpages, and was concerned to read the advice that the content we use in our Hubs should be unique, not something we've posted elsewhere on the net.I started out on Helium and have nearly 200 articles on that site. When I joined HubPages, I saw it as a great opportunity to...

Hi,Thought I would ask here first since I think this will be an easy question. So here it is: I have a hub thats been decided is duplicate content, and says it needs revision. Does that mean there is another hub just like it or some other page online somewhere? I wrote the whole hub myself and...

I would like to make a suggestion to the TEAM here on HUB Pages. I feel that it would be a positive improvement here on the HUB, if all of the activity that is perpetuated by Hubbers, were made known. For instance... apparently - anyone can go around giving thumbs UP or DOWN to a fellow...

Although I read the New York Times most every morning, Real Life has kept me from visiting HP for several weeks. This morning, however, I dropped in see what hubbers have to say about Sarah Palin. For no particular reason I clicked on flyxingping's "Palin and McCain's Shotgun...
