    Incredible.
I think there was a thread not so long ago that mentioned this Hub. Somebody thought it was complete rubbish, because there's no such thing as an iPhone 5, yet.
    Wish I'd written the Hub.

All right, I'm going to come right out and say what I'm thinking.  1 million views for that hub makes me wonder of there's anything right in the world.  If I were Google, I'd give a super backhanded slap to any site hosting that article.

Well it's number 2 on their Page 1 results for "iphone 5 review".  Even though it's a <spit> HP article.

Someone tell me how that works, there's a fair amount of competition for those keywords.

Oh, I didn't mean they actually would, Mark.  "Super backhanded slap" is just my way of saying that I think it's awful.

Considering how well it's done, maybe it's the kind of thing Google want.
Actually, I enjoyed reading it. And it has a score of 96.

There are a few hubs on here that get mega views and the hubs themselves are not especially well written or informative. It seems that some hubs just catch a certain age group or viewing category, and away they go!!

      Wish I knew the secret!

I've just begun writing an article on the iPhone 6.

Would you believe 'iphone6review' is already taken? Yes, it is.

Hmmm...probably by the same person who got iphone5review!! He must be raking it in!!

Edit: no he's not - there is no adverts on the site!

Well let's see it has no news rss feed, it has no Amazon products and it is totally pop culture with nothing new or creative to say, with a poll at the end, which over 65,000 have participated in.

    I'm taking notes!

Well there is that! I can't figure out it's popularity myself.

I mean, it's nicely written and visually attractive to look at, but hey!!

Too bad that hub article can also be found on orkube.com, gegatex.blogspot.com, games.tvi8.com, iphoneforums.net, iphonetuts.com....should I continue? smile

ETA: The other sites have Feb and Mar dates, so I don't know whether the hub was the original or not, btw.

That hub was written about 2 months ago - so January? Anyway when it was discussed on the forums in the aftermath of the slap I don't think there was any sign of duplicate copy then. I think it's original smile

Still wish I'd thought of it lol

Probably because you don't either pay for backlinks or make getting them your full-time job. That hub has over 350 backlinks to it.

Just out of interest, how can you see how many backlinks a Hub has?

Sorry, Camlo, I just saw this. If you've downloaded SEO for Firefox, you can use SEO XRay. It gives you # of internal and external links to and from a page, the meta data, keyword density, etc., for any page.

Most of this hub is copy and paste from this page:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index … 816AAyqOQ5

    Answer 3.

It's the other way round. The yahoo question was only asked a week ago.

My apologies. I just assumed that someone who used such a huge number of spammy back links to undermine the validity of Google search would never take the trouble to write the page themselves.

I was wrong and I should be more careful.
