I am in the process of writing a new hub and I see a message regarding the new hub rules....it is written as a WARNING telling me to be careful and it looks like my hub will be rejected.......IS THIS JUST A GENERAL WARNING THAT I WILL SEE EVERY TIME I WRITE A NEW HUB? I do not want to have a hub rejected....I have successfully written 6 hubs so far...all accepted.
The warning states exactly: You have an Amazon, Ebay, Link, or comments capsule in the first position.......I haven't even begun to write yet.....is that why?  Will I always see this message as a warning.....before I complete my hub?  Can anyone explain....

You cannot have the listed capsules as the first full capsule on your hubs. HP is making sure you do not have this. It was allowed in the past and this is a new policy.
I bet it is just to "remind" everyone of this change before someone spends time on a new hub, publishes it and then is it rejected.

        thanks michael willis
you are probably right because even when i move everything out of firs position the warning remains
        Thanks

I like HubPages to take necessary steps to control posting of picture galleries of actress since Google never likes such things. With its lacs of Great and contently articles Hubpages is losing its standard with glamor pictures of actresses. In fact I am not saying that writers should avoid posting articles about actresses. But, they need control in posting pictures of actress to maintain the quality of their page.

The general warning, posted on top of My Account, has the headline "Important Changes." If you have a warning on a specific hub, or any other warning than the one I mentioned, it will directly concern you.

I am still not sure what this warning means...it is not listed above  my account...it is actually in a vlack box along with the words edit, stat,  deldte and suggest links????? there are no capsules with anything in them and yet it still remains...i havent written anything and there are no ads placed??? i am not sure what to change or do??if it remains>>i have never seen this before at this point of my hub writing....it does not say :important changes....it says.....
WARNING: you have an amazon, link, ebay, or comments in the first capsule ...BUT i dont!
and also WARNING: This hub is at risk of being identified as substandard?????
I think I might start all over again and delete this one  but i dont know why...it could happen again

You are on the outside of the hub. These things are NOT warnings and only you see them. One means "edit", if you click on it, then you will be able to edit the hub. Delete should be self-explanatory. Stats- one would think that that would also be self-explanatory. Suggested links? It gives you some suggested links for linking to.
This makes no sense. But, would make sense if you've not actually written a hub.
Those things "edit", "delete", "stats" and "suggested links" will remain atop your hub and again, ONLY YOU CAN SEE them.
The "important change" message is on YOUR Statistics page.
I'm not sure about the Amazon, link, ebay or comment capsule stuff, but that stuff cannot, I repeat, cannot be the first capsule in any hub. And, the reason for the "substandard", is because YOU haven't written anything in the hub.
I think you would be best visiting the Learning Center, it will probably help you figure out your more than obvious lack of understanding.

thanks cagsil....i figured it out and yes it was only because the hub was empty. FYI- I have already written 6 other hubs without any issues so my understanding is ok......thanks for your help...I am good now
I think the new warnings just threw me for a second....It is difficult for me sometimes to stay writing for long since I have  3 kids.......lol  i kept losing my train of thought and had to keep going back to the same problem..
thanks to all of you.....I got IT! :-)

This is good news. If you are in the process of writing a Hub, and you get this warning when you save the Hub as unpublished, then you can correct the problem before you publish.

In the past, I've seen a warning, something like insufficient  content, but that was because I'd saved my Hub (as unpublished) without putting a whole lot of meat into it.

It's just a warning...but a good one. Cheers to HP for "flagging" problems before they are published.

If you have put product into your amazon capsules, but have not written any text yet, you will receive a warning when you try to "save unpublished" - if there is no text, the amazon capsule, or whatever capsule has content will pop up in the first position - a photo, perhaps, if you have put one in

If you have entered no text yet, or not enough text yet, you will also receive the "substandard hub" warning.

As soon as you finish entering your text, or at least, enter more than 250 words, the "substandard" warning will go away.

Anyone who does so will receive the warnings - not just you.

    Hope this helps

I know you didn't ask, but I'm giving advice anyways.

    The below hub-
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Diferent-Types-of-Vegetarians

    Add more content.

    The below hub-
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-Become-Vegetarian

    Appears to have enough content.

    The below hub-
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Some-Interestin … Your-Teeth

    Has plenty of content.

    The below hub-
    http://hubpages.com/hub/easychickenwrap

Appears to have plenty of content.

    The below hub-
    http://hubpages.com/hub/ferretfun

Appears to have plenty of content.

    The below hub-
    http://hubpages.com/hub/My-Lost-Child

    Has plenty of content.

I would suggest you visit the Extreme Hub Makeover Forum thread and post a few(3) links and get feedback on your hubs. It is only a suggestion.
