Hi!
I signed up for Google Analytics a week or so ago, but have had no results.
This message came up when I checked it:
'The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.'
But my code has been entered and is visible on the affiliates page.
What am I doing wrong, please?
Thanks in advance
Have you configured you Analytics account for "hubpages.com"?
Hello website examiner.
Thanks for the quick reply.
I thought that I had. I followed the instructions and, when the page comes up, it shows: hubpages.com/profile/Trish_M
Hey Trish, did you put your Google Analytics affiliate ID in your affiliate section on Hubpages.
I opened my account at Google Analytics, and was told to wait, however, I failed to install my ID on Hubpages in my affiliate section.
There is a dedicated spot for it all by itself. It's not the same as Google Adsense.
Also, make sure you go to Google Adsense and connect your Google Adsense account to Google Analytics.
Hi Cagsil
Thanks for replying!
Yes, it's there ~ under Google Analytics Affiliate Code.
Maybe I should contact them. I have obviously done something wrong, but I don't know what
Did you see my reply to your previous post?
Hello Website Examiner.
Sorry, no ~ I missed that
I have now put http://hubpages.com for Website URL:
My personal reference is down for profile name; hubpages.com/profile/Trish_M
Is that what you meant??
Hope so.
I see, no problem. But... No, that is not what I meant.
I meant what I said:
hubpages.com
No more, no less.
Hi
Just noticed these ~ what should I put, please?
Sorry for being so ignorant
E-Commerce Website
Yes, an E-Commerce Site
Not an E-Commerce Site
Site Search
Do Track Site Search
Don't Track Site Search
Trish, I have no recollection of these options. Personally, I would go with not/don't.
For URL, just try: hubpages.com
No http://
Hi

"
Am I supposed to copy and paste all of the code which comes up, onto every hub ~ and, if so, where, please?
Sorry, but I am really lost with this : (
Thanks for your patience
There is no code for you to paste into your pages, that is for Webmasters only.
I wonder what your HubPages control panel, affiliate settings, says for Analytics: Active?
Please note: It can take up to 24 hours for tracking to become effective. You may want to wait that long.
Hi again
I'll see what it says tomorrow, then, now that i have made some changes.
This is from my affiliates page on Hub Pages:
Reporting Settings
Program Affiliate Code Status Reports
configure Google Analytics ??-????????-? Active Google Analytics Reports
Trish, thanks for the information, and good luck to you.
Thank you for your help Website examiner
Somehow ~ and I'm bewildered as to how ~ I have been allocated a new code.
I just added it to my account and it is working already.
So ~ all's well

The tracking ID is no longer in the UA-123456-1 format but a GA4 format. See Google Analytics Support website article entitled ([UA→GA4] Data collection and tagging) that discuss this. I could have added a link but didn't want my account closed. Until HubPages changes the format, my account...

Is Hubpages going to be keeping up with the changes to Analytics? For example:Analytics has a new feature in which you can observe your traffic's interests. Knowing your traffics's interests allows you to cater to them more; you can adapt your content, videos, images, Q & A, offerings and even...
