Just curious if the contest started or not. I looked on the contest page and it says this:
Contest begins at 12:01 P.M. (PT) on March 31st, 2011
But no-one really seems to be talking about it being started. :S
Well, currently it is 8PM PST, which is 3 hours behind me on the East Coast.
So there would be just about 4 hours until it starts.
But would 12:01 PM be one minute after noon today? I'm a bit confused. :S I wish when they had contests, they would have a big "contest started" thing on their contest page to minimize confusion. :S
It would be a typo. She mentions March 31. And anything after 12:00 midnight Pacific Standard Time, would be the start.
Simone typed PM, when it should have been AM. That would be obvious, simply because the Date she used as a reference.
To start at 12:00PM PST would waste 12 hours of time and be unfair to contestants around the world, who are members.
It is presently 11:22 pm March 31, 2011. Yes. And like I said earlier, you would still have 3 hours and 38 minutes until you can start posting hubs for the contest.
It's not about what time you have where you are, it's about the time zone where HP is located that which matters. HQ is in California.
If your overseas, in Europe than you are six hours ahead of me. But, you cannot start until it is 12:01 AM April 1, 2011, according to PST. Simone used March 31, 2011 evening/night to give understanding to which to start with or at.
At least that is my take on it.
It's live. HubPages posted it on twitter earlier today:
Then that makes no sense. And, now I'll return to my regularly scheduled program. Enjoy.

When I had joined hubpages in June, a lot of excitement was going on about reading and writing hubs on Food. So, I am dying to know how often do we have contests? When will the next contest on hubpages be? Thanks in advance.
