Since I started using HP ad program, I noticed that my earnings on adsense are nearly nonexistent. While the HP ad program is consistently making income, adsense's CTR, ppc, and everything else is super low.
Is this normal?
Please forgive my ignorance, if I am missing something.
That sounds like what some other hubbers are experiencing. I tried it on my regular account.
After I had reached payout in March, I turned the HP ad program on for about a week. I still had some AdSense clicks but not nearly enough to make up for income I used to get with AdSense alone. On the HP ad program I earned an average of only about 40 cents per day.
I turned the HP ads off and the very next day made nearly $12 on AdSense. Which is a good day for me. So, the HP ad programs didn't work for me. Others are experiencing good results. I didn't.
Later on, if HubPages wlll allow us to pick and choose which hubs we want to add the HP ads too, I might try it again. I don't know.
I couldn't comment on whether or not this is 'normal' but it is the same thing that I found when I activated the HP ads.
I have deactivated the HP ads now just to see if things go back up.
I only had the ad program on for a short time and saw a drastic difference decline with Adsense so I turned it off. I'm having record days with Adsense now...not willing to chance it. I appreciate the program and I'm sure it is beneficial for a lot of hubbers but not so much for me. I'll stick with my Adsense earnings.

A few days ago, I noticed that a lot of people were talking about changing from HP Ad Program to Google AdSense. I had tried that a few years ago, but switched back pretty quickly because I earned better with HP. Recently though, since my earnings have dropped so much, I figured I didn't have much...

Some people have said they've turned off HP Ads and just use Adsense and actually make more money from Adsense. I'm considering trying that out and was curious how much more some of you are making just through Adsense. Fifty percent more? Twice as much? Triple? Quadruple?

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

I think it is related to images being used for the HUB ads and Google ads. When I turned off the Hub ads my adsense revenue rose significantly. I think it is because the block of adsense ads to the right of the column of text below the title returned to text based rather than image based. I think...

I need advice. I have both the HP Ad Program and my own Google Adsense ads on my one Hub. I haven't earned a thing from the HP Ad Program, but I'm earning on Adsense daily. I'm wondering if I should get rid of the HP Ad Program ads completely so more Adsense ads will show. Is this a good plan? If...

Which program are you earning more on? The new Hubpages Ad Program or Google Adsense.
