      Of course it's moving. Before the guests arrived, I cleaned all the windows from the outside of the ship, lower and upper deck. The ship wasn't moving then, of course, because that could be dangerous for me ...

            Yes, it is a fun job. On a short tour like tonight, we just cruise up and down the Rhine in the Cologne area. But we also do longer tours - from Cologne to Linz (Germany), or to St. Goar, or Boppard etc. Tomorrow I'll be working at a wedding on a ship called the Moby Dick from Bonn. On Sunday we'll be doing a series of transfer trips between Cologne and Leverkusen. Most of next week we'll be just doing our usual round trips in Cologne.
            The job found me.
            The School Ship where I go to college between January and April is static.

               aha i did not realise there were two ships......... the job found you, it just sailed along like.......... wedding tomorrow, wow.    Can u post a picture of the ship.  You should write a hub about your job, it is very interesting.

                  I actually work on four different ships, not including the School Ship. They're all small ships, but large enough to be called ships, although not made for high sea. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post pictures of them without permission. Anyway, I'll ask my boss, and if I can write a Hub, I'll include pictures. You could look in Google Images for the MS Moby Dick in Bonn. That's the one I'll be on tomorrow.
                  Yes, the job found me. I was working for an employment agency, was sent to one of the ships, and the boss decided to keep me permanently.

                        It looks like a whale.
                        Not that I would anyway, but my boss doesn't like us wearing our uniforms outside of work, because such things aren't always good publicity - like people going to the pub and getting drunk in their uniforms. I think he'd prefer to know in which context I'm showing the pictures.

                              If you're ever in Cologne and want to take a round trip, just look for the green and white ships beside the Hohenzollern Bridge. They're ours, and I might be working on one on that day.

                                    Ah - we have a landing bridge at the Chocolate Museum, too. You can get as much chocolate cake as you like there. And I live just two minutes away from the chocolate museum.
