since i've turned on koentra ads on my hubs, my google adsense revenue has gone down drastically. can someone explain this? or is this all just a figment of my imagination?
I have done a lot of experimenting with Kontera since it became available at HubPages. I would turn Kontera on for a week, and then off for a week over a month time period. Although my adsense earnings were way down some days the number of adsense clicks were stayed consistent.
For several weeks now I have had Kontera turned off on all hubs but my Adsense earnings have dropped significantly. I expected an increase Monday because the Olympics were over and my total page views had doubled, but my earnings stayed the same. I turned Kontera on yesterday and my adsense earnings have been way up yesterday and today. I may be wrong but the more I test Kontera, the more I feel it has no effect on Adsense earnings.

Is google adsense only paying for clicks and not impressions? My adsense earnings have almost gone down to nothing. Has anyone else experienced this?

Are ad settings totally controlled by HubPages or do the settings in my Adsense account have a bearing on what will be displayed? If so, is it a good idea to select categories relevant to a niche site?
