I'm curious how you guys are fairing with Kontera since it has been added to HP.

Please include how many hubs you have Kontera ads on, as well. I think it'll create a better impression as to how well it has done on hubs.

    I'm just curious...

I dumped kontera from my own sites, and never bothered to turn it on here...

I have it turned on for all of my hubs (just to try it out).  I'm averaging about $1.20 a day.  My adsense, in this time, has actually increased.

I agree with this.. I find it an odd coincidence . Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think if Kontera was removed the Adsense would increase more, or balance out about the same?

For the past 7 days, I've been getting an average of 1.27 a day, but with an average of 23 clicks a day.
I have Kontera on a number of hubs, but not all. I can't remember how many.

I'm about $10 and change away from $100. I'm thinking about keeping it only if my Adsense continues to increase.

Just thought I'd hear about your experiences on HP with Kontera.

I've made about $4.20 total from Kontera

I don't have many hubs online and have a content site with about 20 pages on it that gets low traffic.  but it's doing better for me than adsense, and my hub pages have made about $3 already - looking at how long I've been here I think that's good!

Waste of time. As soon as I reach $100 I am turning it off. I have it on all my hubs bar three.

Why would you turn it off?  Without it on hubs you make zero, with it you make some.  Just curious as to why nothing is better than something

Julie-Ann, you missed a BIG thread where a lot of people reported seeing their AdSense earnings go right in the dumps once Kontera was turned on.

I'm watching what's happening with my hubs right now, but if I keep seeing this downward trend in my AdSense which happened once I started using Kontera too, I'll do the same as Mark is planning..

Thanks Relache makes sense now.  But have to say that right now as a 3 week newbie or so, Kontera is way oustripping adsense for me on hubpages.  On my content site it's the other way around.  But there I'm in control of the adsense and don't fill all my pages with "Lose the belly fat" banners...

I turned it off on mine also because some who aren;lt members here couldn't comment on my hubs. HubPages Management said it had soemthing to do with Kontera's HTML script Only made a little over a dollar anyway for the first month.

Ummm, how about correlation and causation? You need a series of well thought-out tests to confirm it is not a coincidence.

But it could be of course. For example, people get so annoyed with popups they click on the first available link to get out - and this happens to be adsense link sometimes big_smile

I am right with you all with the Kontera..averaging around 1.24..some days more, some less, and I will hit 100.00 probably tomorrow.  I have it on all my hubs I think.
Adsense has stayed the same.  Last month it was low but this month it is about where it has been...maybe a little more but it grows a bit every month anyway because of the increase in hubs.

I agree.. I'd be banking if Kontera paid more. lol decent clicks low paying though.

It appears to me that my Adsense is back up and growing after a slow Aug: which think was because of the Olympics and the holidays. It was the traffic which dropped not the CLR.  Kontera earnings are too low to statistically know whether they are increasing but I have just passed the $10 mark with Kontera LOL

My adsense earnings have not dropped since implementing Kontera and I am now earning more with both, so I like the add on.

I'm with Mark on this one.  Its is a total waste of time. Poor paying and clutters a page.

When you sign in to your account do you see the Example Add.

    It states "andrackmounts".

That should have told you right there what the site is like.

Yeah definitely it`s a waste of time, I have experienced it on some other sites, never had kontera on my hubs. LoL
Whitney I just wonder as I can see you have well over 400 hubs, your traffic should range anywhere from at least 1000 visits to 10.000 days visits+ ..Am I right ? And you are making 1.2 $ a day across all your hubs , but what is the exact number of visits so I can make an idea of the eCPM.

Broalexdotinfo, for the current month my <snipped eCPM - violation of AdSense terms> for Kontera, and for Adsense for this month my <snipped eCPM> (which seems pretty low, but that's what it reads on the site.)

My hub disappeared from Google after turning on Kontera.  I don't know if it was just a coincidence but when I turned Kontera off - my hub came back.  Not sure if anyone else had this problem.

I have been up there with everyone else as far as earnings, I just added kontera to some of my blogger blogs to see what happens, still testing it out.

I never got around to signing up for Kontera and now I guess I won't. My Adsense has been kicking butt this month though. Has anyone else noticed increased traffic to their hubs over the past couple of weeks?

  20. broalexdotinfo profile image56
    broalexdotinfoposted 15 years ago

I have noticed a decrease in traffic over the past 30 days. I wonder why, especially search engines traffic.

I haven't tried the Kontera thing yet. I'm slightly worried it's gonna make me pay to put their crap on my hubs. But I have noticed an increase from Google, along with a couple of clicks from Yahoo and Google Canada, which is kind of crazy. o_O Do you have to pay to use Kontera, and is it hard to set up? Better yet, is it really worth it? I've only been here for less than a month, and I've made a grand total of $.06 from Adsense (talk about an lol moment), so I'm trying to think of other ways to make a bit of cash from my few hubs.

    multimasteryposted 15 years ago

I haven't tried it yet but, but I do have it on my blog and although people click on them, the pay does not compare to Adsense.  For this reason I probably won't use it anymore.  If I'm correct, both Adsense & Kontera open up in new windows when a visitor clicks (I'm Know Adsense does.)  And with no guarantee that a visitor will return to CLICK again, this means that you basically only get One Click from that visitor at that moment.  So you'd better get as much as you can squeeze out of it, and with Kontera the payout just doesn't seem to be worth it.  Bottom Line:  Why trade pennies for Dollars?

But hey if it works for you then More Power To Ya!-)

I just wanted to let you all know I didn't sign up for Kontera until August and I've made $66 so far. The first month (August) my Google Adsense revenue was way down, and like many of you, I blamed the addition of the text ads. After reading various posts around the web, however, it seems that a lof of sites experienced that. This month my Google is up, and it sounds like I'm not alone. The Kontera doesn't pay as well as Google, but it doesn't appear to be hurting either. Overall I'll be making more with the new ads. I just wanted to put that out there because it seems like a lot of people have been unhappy and I'm pretty happy with Kontera!

Yeah, like someone said, the visitor may find this Kontera dialog box rather annoying. I am gonna switch off Kontera from my hubs for a week or two.
