How much traffic should I expect

I know I am just starting out here, but traffic isn't exactly what I was hoping for.  I know I still don't have many articles and I plan to do the 30 hubs in 30 days, but I only have 5 views today from 3 of my 5 hubs (I just published my 6th).  I haven't backlinked or anything because I thought this site didn't need it.  Is my traffic about normal for starting out?  I'm probably jumping the gun so to speak, but I am thinking this is a low number. I'm guessing this is because of Panda?

ya, I'm assuming you have to have a lot of backlinks because mine have slowly gone down to less than 10...

My hub that gets 500 hits a day has never been backlinked by me.

Completely normal. The older content gets, the more traffic it usually gets (if it's not in a totally saturated or too broad topic.)

A hub I have that gets about 500 hits a day now got approximately:

-2-3 hits a day for first three months.
-30-50 hits a day for the next three months.
-100+ for the next three months.
-Since then has slowly grown to 500 hits a day.

Now I'm off dreaming again.  Lots of 0's and 1's, if they grew to 5's I'd be happy.

Ok so my traffic level is about normal for starting out.  I just didn't want to wait around 6 months and find out that I should be doing something different.

With respect to new content, getting 5 hits a day for new content, these days since Google's Panda, is an optimistic goal.

Based on the low quality of your articles, that's very surprising.

However I'm just wondering how many hits are internal (from both yourself and hubpages members) and how many are external (search engines?)

Pamela, I  would say that is really good.  How many of those hits are from google?

My new hubs are getting 10-30 hits a day (each of them) ( I joined 4 days ago) so is that good or will it just start to drop and never go up again?#

After 4 days = 150 views and some (according to analytics) organic backlinks
