Not sure if anyone else has had this issue but I'm very bothered by the five minute edit limit on comments I make to other people's hubs. I'm usually quite careful when I type out a comment in a serious discussion I'm having. I spell check, re-read and grammar check my more lengthy "scholarly" comments but every so often I miss something and I don't realize it until after the five minutes are up. In a recent hub I completely flubbed something and aside from posting a second comment to correct what I said wrong there doesn't appear to be a solution to this.
So in the future I'd like to see that edit feature extended to at least 10-20 minutes. Is there a reason why it's only a five minute window?

Ok, It's probably better to get things right first time and not have to edit comments, but extra info may need to be added later for the benefit of other readers. So what's the point of the 5 minute limit? We can delete our own comments after the timeout and repost, however if other readers have...

It's way way too short. Only 5 minutes or so. If a comment is made and there's an error or additional text needs to be added, the only way to do this is to delete the comment and repost it.

I did this morning on one of my hubs. And it was a Comment module. Not that there were many comments on this one, but I appreciated the comments it received. And to those who did comment, sorry this was not on purpose.

Do you agree or disagree with the new suggestions for deleting and editing comments? Why or Why not?So now it turns out that we should have been deleting comments all along! Google drops our page rank because of bad comments - comments that do not ADD to the hub, Q&A, or Forum posts. Will...

After replying to a comment, an author is given five minutes to make any changes to his/her comment. What if later on the author wants to make changes or edit his/her comments e.g. correcting gammar mistakes?Another area I would consider it useful to inclide editing feature is in Q&A. For...

I wish that Hubpages allow our responses to article to be edited. We can edit our own articles, and I've done that with just about every article I've written. But when we respond to another persons article we have five minutes to edit, and long responses mean that we need more time. I wish we could...
