Wow - I was just putting up a response to a thread about advertising on cigarette packets when it came up closed to reply and then the whole thread vanished.
I get the link with smoking - but is it really a problem to discuss the effects of smoking, rights in respect to it, advertising on it etc ???
Is this also the case with other 'issues' that 'must not be spoken' ?????
Does this mean that if I use an example that includes smoking in the argument the thread will be closed ?
well...that would be interesting...i doubt it...but you never know
I found the answer - the OP closed her own thread - didn't know you could do that !
and I can't get Facebook from here - I can go via a proxy but those are getting closed down also and if it I get caught the internet connection gets truned off! No problem getting it back except the delay and the sideways looks for being a naughty boy
Bearing in mind that it can also be caused by downloading porn - which is officially and generally frowned upon here !

Seems like there are a noticeable number of forum threads closed to reply. Veteran hubbers, are the current numbers typical? Some threads I assume get closed to reply because the topic is controversial or inflammatory, but it seems that other similar threads remain open. Some...
