Another "overly promo", on a hub with NO outside links?!

    Dear Hubpages...

Got a hub here that reviews the 4G phones, on Verizon. As Verizon only has 3 4G phones (a few coming soon), this hub is shorter than others in the similar category, but what exactly makes it "overly promo" as it has no other links (other than 2 links to other hubs)?

I counted 6 links to hubs (of which 3 have a messed up URL) and 3 links to other sites plus your RSS feed.

None of this should matter unless possibly one of the 3 outside links is to a prohibited site, (which I don't believe would trip the overly promotional filter) or you have included the RSS feed or one of the other outside links in most of your hubs.  You are not allowed to link to the same site on a large percentage of your hubs.

I found ONE with the messed up URL. Somehow copy and paste have added extra "hubpages in front"... weird.  Where's the other two?

I have ZERO links to outside except the RSS feed at least in the current version. Weird...

(spaces added to prevent linking) All have the same problem with the extra http in the front.  Someone else reported this same kind of thing on their profile page - it could be a glitch.

Are the other outside links.  Bear in mind that I'm looking at a cached version without any recent changes.

It does seem that the likely culprit is over-use of the RSS feed - putting it in every hub will likely trip the filter but it can also cause all your hubs to have the same problem.  I would talk to the moderators, though, before making any further changes.

Oh, you're counting my OTHER hub. No wonder I feel confused. I thought you're talking about just ONE hub I mentioned above.   (The link to MetroPCS was in the "Other Carriers" hub, not the Verizon hub)

I'm getting it from the link in your OP.  Which is (I think) your "other carriers" hub.  As that link goes to an unpublished hub I assumed that was the one you meant.  Now I'm confused as well.

Confusion is such a wonderful thing! smile

Found the problem... HP team thought my RSS feed capsule was a regular link capsule. Instead of counting it as 1.5, they counted each of the links displayed as 1, so I got flagged with 3 somehow. Fixed (on their part)

Metro PCS and US Cellular are corporate websites of the carriers.

And PC Mag is PC Magazine.

          Weird...
