For some time now (months), I've been unable to add a new poll to any Hub. The capsule ponies up properly, text enters the way it should, but when I hit SAVE, then:
1. The Headline pops up nicely.
2. Nothing else happens except that the "loading" indicator runs...and runs...and runs. Presumably "forever", though I've not let it go for more than an hour at a tie--with no results.
Tried on four different browsers (IE8, IE9, FireFox, Chrome), same result.
We have satellite Internet only, limited bandwidth, but previously (at least through the end of 2010), polls loaded just fine.
Looks like a bug. The data you've entered into the poll capsule actually is saved properly, so if you simply refresh the hub editing tool (or save and edit again), the poll capsule will be there.
We should have this fixed in the next day or two.
Thanks for the report!
Tried adding a poll on an old hub and getting the same result as you.
Tried only Chrome so far.
Hm. Guess I'll go try that.
Glad to hear you're on it at any rate. Got boo-coo polls popping through the brainpan...ever since I found out I couldn't have 'em! LOL!

Have you ever used a Poll capsule in one of your hubs?My first time was today, in four new hubs which make "A Hitchhiking Saga." Fun way to invite participation from readers!Where have you put the code outside Hubpages to bring traffic to your hub?

We just released an update to the site. The biggest change is the addition of the first new capsule in a long, long time -- the often requested poll capsule. Here is a sample hub with a poll. We've also added a new forum called Extreme Hub Makeover. It's a place where people...

Why are readers of hubs so reticent to participate in included polls? It is very frustrating.

How can this be?Are the media and the Democrats so out of touch with reality? They are talking of socialism, open borders, and impeachment...Meanwhile, America has renewed optimism, increased 401k, better jobs, and more pay and less taxation...What am I missing? What is half of the country missing?...

I have poll capsules in two of my hubs that don't seem to be working properly. They don't seem to give the user a chance to answer, but instead show what has already been answered. I'm not sure if there is a flag set once you've answered the question so that you can't answer it again,...

Can you please explain how the poll capsule works. Why is it when a vote has been made in a poll that the results remain showing instead of showing the original poll so others can vote as well? Is there a way to fix, or better yet, prevent that?r
