I am new here and i am not very good at making my webpage to look descent. Maybe it needs a little more color to it.I don't think it really matters how much i write about myself(not like i was trying to impress anyone) ..Plus i don't have much to write really because there isn't much to write about.
Hi Lynn, see what happens when you don't write, no one wants to talk to you.
Its easy really. Think of something to write that has some interest. The idea is to write about something that is not that common in the search engines, such as "wholemeal dog biscuit recipes".
I'll write a hub on that one day, I always use that as an example. I also think it would be fun to do, we like wholemeal bread because its healthy, so why not look after the dog.
There's your new hub. Then go to your hub editor and with the text capsules press it about five times, add a few photo capsules and get some photos of a mixing bowl and load that up. Then link to an affiliate site of some sorts that sells dog biscuits.
Publish and there you go. See - there's plenty to write about, if I wrote about myself everyone would say, he sounds like a nice and interesting chap, but that won't make me any money with adsense.
Don't worry about the colour, hubpages looks after that. You have a choice of black text on white or white background with black text.
For anyone thats interested, the long tail keyword for this subject returns ads of how to lose belly fat. There seems to be no advertisers.
LOL, Couldn't have suggested better myself.

Hi. Yeah i guess so. I see now. Thanks for explaining, Not a whole lot of people would actually do that or take the time to put everything in details. Actually, i never knew what a hubpage was til someone explained it to me. I am a little slow at things and i don't really know everything and what everything is.
@ Terryg - "Don't worry about the colour, hubpages looks after that. You have a choice of black text on white or white background with black text. " FOFL, gotta love dry humour!
If you can't think of anything to write, go check out the request section, that should give you some ideas, especially as Ryan adds a lot of requests!

If your unsure of stuff, then ask! There's a lot of very friendly people here on Hubpages and there pretty responsive on the forums, its one of the reasons hubpages is such a great site. There's plenty of stuff to read in the stuck section, but read the sticky post at the top first because yo may ask a question that someone else has already asked (there are links in the post to those questions)
The best thing to do though Lynn is to just experiment with your writing and try and improve with each hub. If you look at some of my lower score hubs, and then compare it to the top 2, you'll see a huge difference in style, length and content, this was all down to some chosen advice from fellow hubbers in the extreme make over section. Sadly not a lot of people ask for help, but as you have already posted, I'm guessing this won't be a problem!

I've seen a lot of people say no, but I've also seen people saying they are making money through HubPages. So which is it?

Hi, I'm completely new to freelance writing and I thought I'd give it a shot because writing is second nature to me and it's something I really enjoy. But I'm not sure if a website like HubPages fits what I want to write about. It's been suggested to me that blogging is more up my alley. What I...

Are you suffering from what is called the 'Writer's block'?For months I have been unable to write something on hubpages. I have had brilliant ideas but I end up procrastinating and telling myself that those ideas are best left to be written later for the book I intend to write someday. In the...

I know that this is the most asked question here, but I'd still really appreciate it if anybody answered.I've been on Hubpages for about 6 months now, and I've just published my 7th Hub, and I'm starting to write a few more. As of right now, I have 239 total views, and each Hub has roughly 36...
