From the LA Times:
"Amazon.com Inc. is offering to build at least two distribution centers and hire as many as 7,000 workers if lawmakers back away -- at least temporarily -- from trying to force the Internet giant to collect sales taxes on purchases made by California customers."
Any implications for states where Amazon have already stopped their affiliations? Could this be a solution? or is this only a soluton for California?
I doubt it will affect other states, although it will be seen as a victory for California.

http://www.dallasnews.com/business/head … ispute.eceSorry I should have included the state in the topic heading. TEXAS was using the argument that the distribution center created a physical presence in the state, so the state sales tax was valid. Now that Amazon has closed the distribution...

With regard to Amazon's cancellation of California affiliates, will HP continue to let hubbers who live in other places earn from that affiliate program by keeping the Amazon capsules on already existing hubs or will you do away with it altogether and bring in alternative revenue streams?ebay...
