I've spent the last 4 hours watching tutorials, reading guides, and downloading HTML editors. I cannot figure out how to add GoogleAdSense ads to my page. (Do I even NEED to make my own ad units to start making money? because there are a bunch of Google ads on my pages already and I haven't done anything to get those?)
I know where to get my source code
I know my code for the ad I created.
I know that I need to put the ad code between the and (I don't know where between those I should put it?)
I know I should be using an HTML editor for this. I know I need to push publish to finalize it.
I'm using the program CoffeeCup.
Could someone show me the steps??? It doesn't have to be super detailed, but I'm very very very stuck
Actually, suggestions for other free (working!) html editors would be great
thank you guys!
Welcome to Hubpages!
You need to enter your Google Adsense Publisher ID into your affiliate Google Adsense location under "my account".
Click "my account" this will bring you to your statistics page.
Click on "earnings" above the drop down menus you see in front of you.
Once you are there, then locate your Google Adsense section, which should be the second box(section) on that page. Click on configure and you should be able to do it from there.
You do not have to do anything special with any HTML codes. Those codes are only for a website if you have one. All the ads on your hubs, including the ones already there are done so through HP.
The reason you have Google Adsense already on your hubs is because HP is using the slots for ads until you set up your account. Once you setup your account, you will then earn 100% of the revenue on 60% of the impressions your hubs receive. HP earns 100% on the revenue generated from 40% of the impressions.
Oh my gosh! I wasted all that time lol!?!
Oh well, thank you sooo much
You seem to be quite the expert, so I'll be following you!
