Simone just emailed me and said because there have been so few entries, the contest has been cancelled.
You can keep your Hubs up, but you must remove the 'contest' tag.
The award money will be sent to me and I will donate it to a a charity near and dear to my heart... "The Greek One Fund".. which aims to provide those closest to me with various consumer goods and electronic items
Thank you for your participation.
(PS, don't bother contacting Simone or any other HubPages staff member to ask for clarification.. they are too distraught to reply)
Wow that is so sad. Sadly I am really inept at editing Tags - so I won't be able to remove the 'contest' tag - hopefully Simone will realize this and understand!
no.. she wont.. she's weird like that.. she will be pissed.. better delete your account and start over
LOL OK - just about to send an email to the Hubpages team - wow all those hubs down the drain!
their servers are down.. dont but them.. just delete
OK I'll start from my oldest and do one an hour - it'll take me 20 days - of course I won't be doing this on the weekend so I should have em all deleted by Mid December perhaps?!
Greek you are so kind giving to charity and the Team will be most touched, Especially given the fact you didn't even enter yourself
I love Canadians, honest and giving
Let me know if I can help anyway possible
And you of course are going to give the prize money to George Papandreou to pay off the Greek debt - we Europeans salute you, you have saved us from financial Armageddon. Our hero!
Interesting Bail Out attempt Greek fella
But aren't Greek Referendums currently in vogue in the Euro Zone?
Hey Greek One, as a staff member Simone probably has access to a 'delete all accounts key'. If you sent her some chocolates maybe, like accidentally, she could delete them all except the Greek One's?
If I might interject... I have a thing for Star Wars collectibles. Just a hint. Cough cough.
Diamonds wouldn't hurt either.
If Simone can only be bought with diamonds Greek One, it won't be worth your while. You need a more nefarious plan to win the contest? Or maybe just let the quality of your work shine through?

Simone just posted a great and informative sticky thread in the blue fields at the top, but I was afraid people may not notice 'the fine print' in it. The April contest for producing 'stellar' hubs is postponed, but they're hoping to get it back on track soon. Thanks for sharing all the neat...

I have been a Hubber for 14 month, but I started to write Hubs about 3 to 4 month ago; my pageviews are 3200 more. I have written 12 Hubs so far; it's not easy to write them -I must think hard...very hard. And I do not know how The TeamHubpages views my Hubs: I do not know how Google Ads reviews my...

For those of you who don't get the newsletter (or just don't always read it), I thought I'd start a good ol' fashioned forum thread to introduce Simone, our new Community & Marketing Manager extraordinaire! (Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere... there's plenty of Community to go around!...

I'm pulling 2013 kind of randomly, but I really miss how HubPages used to be. It used to be a really friendly place. We used to have kind of an "in" with the administration in that Maddie and Simone would give us advice. There used to be contests to motivate us to write.I understand that...

Wouldn't it be nice if some explanation about the hub came with the above mentioned notices. All you get is the general notice that you hub is overly promotional or substandard and it needs to be fixed. If it is re-submitted and is not fixed properly you could be banned from...
