What is back linking, and how does one get back links?  I know they are important for generating traffic to hubs, but that's all I know.

    Thanks!

This may be helpful Johanna.  Also, you can do a hub search, as there are numerous hubs written about backlinking.

Backlinking is an indepth subject, backlinks are what Google's 'bots' crawl when they circulate the web. If they find one linking to your hub they will collect this information and it will go as a credit towards how high they should put your page in the search results.

Some links are better than others, the PR of a webpage will give you more of a push when Google finds a high PR link. The higher the PR, generally means the site has more quality controls and it will be harder to get your link approved.

Bookmarking, Article and directory sites are all places to get Backlinks
