Today I feel like an expectant father back in the 1950s. Barred from the action and relegated to pacing the hospital halls.
My Husband is in a MEDIATION today to try to resolve disagreements (to put it mildly) with the paid fiduciary on his family's trust. That makes it sound all high falutin'. It's not the kind of family or even remotely close to the kind of money that would ordinarily require a paid fiduciary.
That's a long and sordid story (which I've hubbed about in various forms since 2009).
Anyway, here I am. At home. Pacing and waiting and praying and pacing.
I desperately need clever distraction. Take my mind off things.
So naturally I turned to the cleverest bunch of distractors I know: Hubbers.
Won't you please help me pass the time?
Send me a rhyme?
Tell me a joke?
Offer me a smoke?
Post a YouTube song?
Show me I belong?
Many thanks, as always, for your support.
I LOVE Green Day and that gave me a big smile.
Reminded me of another band with a hawt lead singer, Pearl Jam.
But the song that starts, "Watching, waiting..." is Betterman and it simply doesn't have the right message.
But thanks,Aficionada. That got me through the 12:00 hour for sure.
I recommend putting on "Bohemian Rhapsody" and dancing around like a madwoman while playing air guitar and lipsyncing. Always works for me.
It's almost 3pm. Only one text update from Hubby and the news is mixed.
They are definitely playing hardball.
Extortion is their game and they're pros at it.
Anyway, I do appreciate the suggestions here.
I think I'll go for a Queen trifecta, with "Bohemian Rhapsody" as suggested by Maddie (thank you! Good call) and "Another One Bites the Dust" and "We Are the Champions" to round it out.
Pcunix: Your suggestion is too funny! And apt.
Ride of the Valkyries is my Hubby's ringtone for his mother!
I can never listen to that song again without thinking of Della.
Which, of course, is what this lawsuit is all about:-)!!
Thanks again Hubber Nation!
MM, just for the giggles (and hopefully to make you feel better)

Most of us have lost considerable traffic and earnings in the last one month or so. Hubpages Alexa ranking has drooped from 176 in February to 185 at present. Many prolific hubbers have either stopped publishing, deleting hubs or just moved away from hubpages. Are these warning signs for all of us?...

Do you believe in the waiting game when meeting someone you like?Do you think a person should play the waiting game when meeting someone they like? Should you wait before calling them? If so, why?
