This evening, I started following a hubber, and noticed that she had a Hub of the Day badge on her profile.  I wanted to be able to quickly locate and pull up the hub (or hubs) that received the accolade by clicking on the badge.

Is this a feature that could be incorporated?

    Thanks,

    Steph

I have wished there was a feature like that myself.

Sounds fun!  Here is the link to the archive of the HOTDs:  http://hubpages.com/hubs/oftheday/

Yes, that is a good link, but if I am on someone's profile, I want to go straight to their own hub of the day.  smile

I agree, you can't even search the archive by name. You just have to scroll through until you find it.

That would be a good feature too - having the HOTD page searchable by hubber name

If a Hubber has earned more than 1 Hub of the Day, which Hub should the accolade link to?

Good question!  (I was actually wondering the same thing).  I would suggest link to the most recently awarded HOTD.  I have also noticed that some hubbers list their HOTD awards and links on their profile page themselves.  Alternatively, Arlene's suggestions regarding links to all HOTD from the badge would be fine.  I am not sure about having an icon on the profile like the small "e" for elite hubbers.  Personally, I prefer having the awards listed below the profile to keep a cleaner appearance.  Just my opinion.  smile

You could give them a new one time they earn one.

Jason, if the winning authors earned more than one Hub of the Day, is it too much too ask to list all of them under the Hub of the Day accolade?  Or could you make an accolade which signifies a person with multiple winners?  There are not a lot of writers who have earned more than one Hub of the Day.  Since they earned it, why not?  Or maybe have them list their winners on their profile?  Some of these writers are already doing this, including Homesteadbound and Davenmidtown (if I remember correctly).  I follow others who have won multiple Hub of the Day honors, but I always catch them through email notifications.  It is frustrating to come across a Hub of the Day accolade on someone's profile and not knowing which of Hubs is the winner.  I wouldn't mind reading it.

Yes, inquiring minds want to know!

Or could you put the Hub of the Day symbol on a profile photograph like the "e" on the Elite avatars?  Or am I asking for the moon???  I do have faith in technology most of the time.

Hahahaha!  Forgive me, steph, and scratch any suggestion done to the profile photographs!  I finished reading that long post on "e" and the Elite staff in the Forum, so it's still in my head.

I agree with you.  Many of the winners already have impressive portfolios.  I would like to read their winning Hubs whenever I see the accolade.  Or at least easily get to them for a good read.  Right now, the symbol (accolade) is there, but which Hub(s) is the winner(s)?

When I can't find the award-winning writing, I feel like I've missed out.  No!  I know I've missed out!

OK, thanks, guys. I'll see if this is something we can have engineering work on. Thanks for the suggestion, Steph!

        Hey Steph,

Tom just rolled out an enhancement that you might like. Click on any Hubber's HotD accolade (and thanks for the suggestion!).

It would be cool for the emblem to "stack" so if a person has one more than once it has like a little 2 or 3 on it... corresponding to the number of times they've won it. Probably not really possible, but it was a thought I had.

I am very happy that the Hub of the Day accolade takes you to the hub or a list of hubs.  Just a couple of other suggestions:

    1.  When you hover the accolade, it says "one of xx's hub was selected" which isn't true if there is more than one.  Can you change it to say "one or more" to make it more accurate?  Also it would be nice if it would also say "click to see" or something to that effect, so people are aware of this nifty feature.

    2.  Can we do the same thing for HubNuggets winners?

    Thanks
