How much have you earned after the introduction of HP ad program?

I remember I left HubPages shortly after the introduction of the HP ad program. So I did not see that my earnings are still accumulating until now.

I really like HP so this is not meant to dis this platform but I've made more money in 3 weeks at Helium with 12 articles than I've made at HP in 2 months with 59 articles.

Hi couturepopcafe. Is it possible to join Helium if I reside in the Philippines? I heard it does not accept members from our country. Is this true? Thanks.

Don't do it!  They've stolen over 100 of my articles and have sold some of them without my permission and without any compensation to me, the author.  Crooks and liars they are!  mad

Oh, how terrible! Thanks for the information. I'm still at a loss for ideas.

Wizzley is getting good earnings reports from users, and it is very very similar to Hubpages to use.

Helium sucks, but I have been there for a while, get lots of views, and make good money there. After Helium, it's Yahoo. Both of those sites will pay upfront payments for articles that they like, if you can put up with the crap.

Hub Pages is strictly revenue share or hawking amazon and ebay products. This means that it takes time to build up audience and get views. From what I've seen here, writers who stick with it do get some kind of income.

I like it here, but will check out Tumblr as a mini blogging platform. My mistake was in not diversifying a couple of years ago.

I was earning almost the same amount on Adsense as I'm now earning through the HP ad program.

The only problem is that now, I have double the traffic I did then. hmm

I would pretty happy with it until 2012 when the CPM took a dive.  Anything under $5 is pretty discouraging to me.

Do you mean a daily $5 earning?

Hi Pogi, welcome back!  smile I'm earning about  5x my Adsense earnings on HPAds.  But even with the new HPAds program layout, I still get a paycheck from Adsense every two months (fingers crossed).

See the new HP Ad layout here:

Wow. That's good news. I observed this as well when I checked my Adsense account. I cannot see any additional income. But when I checked my HP account, I earned in a month what I have earned in Adsense to this day. I mean the total sum of earnings in Adsense until now is just the same with what I make in HP for one month. That's really amazing...

In 2 months I have made 49 cents on AdSense. In three days I made 1 cent on HP.

Any money at all is a bonus for me. I am a Hubber for the experience and the learning.

I do quite well on HP Ads, and my views per day are well into 4 figures, sometimes 5. I don't want to disclose my exact earnings, but they are well into 3 figures and have replaced the income I used to generate from a part time (20 hrs per week) job.

I have a question.  This is my first month of cashing out on HP but I don't know if I have to do something or do they pay thru pay pal automatically?  Pay out is on the 28th right?

          1. mistyhorizon2003 profile image92
mistyhorizon2003posted 6 years agoin reply to this

Payment is on the 28th, but if you hit payout in Jan you get the payment at the end of Feb, if you hit it in Feb you will get it on 28th March and so on. This will go to the Paypal account you gave to HP and Paypal will send you an email confirming this. If you only use Adsense you will get it credited to the bank account you nominated when you opened your Adsense account. You don't need to do anything, it will happen automatically either way.

My earnings almost tripled after the new program. It took having to change a few things, adding eBay/amazon capsules also boosted a great deal- overall I love it!

to be fair I did publish over 500 new hubs since that program kicked in (I consolidated 23 websites and various other posts (wordpress, blogger, ezinearticles (to the sites so no longer needed there) and so on... into hubs, all product based, and added amazon/ebay to the mix- Before I did any of that (@ 340 hubs at the time) my income doubled for 3 months straight (I was a beta), then reverted to where it was and stagnated.

I added all those other hubs and income doubled again but it wasn't until I started to add the Ebay/amazon capsules that I started to realize, the potential to make more is there on those two monetize methods over impressions...

I found the product based hubs to earn the most- the one hub I had that was making the bulk of the money before the change (now over 1.2 million hits of traffic) substantially made use of Impressions earnings (I updated the hub based on the new matrix) and the eBay/amazon capsules are on fire...

No I mean on fire, like you go to that page and the capsules are red and have flames coming out of them smile - by that I mean they were the first thing to make me realize how much money I was leaving on the table without having ANY ebay/amazon capsules anywhere- now I'm updating almost 800 hubs-

It's tedious but as I add the capsules my ebay clicks and amazon sales are substantially rising... if your new and reading this PUT THOSE CAPSULES ON YOUR HUBS!!!

Good Luck! I frikken love hubpages... it's not only fun to earn and write here but there is a great education along the way. Much of what I learned here I've applied elsewhere (and elsewhere I have other mentors that give me things to use here, then I write a hub about it).

Thanks for the idea, Jerico. Now that you said about product-based hubs, I think I just have to postpone embarking on affiliate marketing. Thanks.
