I would really appreciate it if anyone could look at my first hub, and give me a critique. I am just wondering if I am on the right track, and what I need to do to make it better. Thanks so much.

Honestly, I see a really good hub! I see a few run on sentences, but all of us end up with those. Welcome to HubPages. I to will now try to plant my own garden. smile

      First, welcome to HP. smile

So, I think you have a good topic there. Your voice is nice, the article is engaging and personable. A great start.

You should consider going back through it and fixing punctuation. Some is incorrect and some is missing completely. Not a panic thing, we all do it, but, with a day's distance, re-read it and you'll see the missing pieces. If you don't see them, try reading it out loud. That often helps find stuff. If you still don't see them, have a friend help.

For some earning fun, maybe consider some $$$ capsules.  I don't know much about seeds or containers, but I bet you can find seeds and plant containers on Amazon and or Ebay. Stick some capsules alongside your text and cash in on the advice you are giving.

You probably think I'm harshing your roll, but I'm not. YOu have a great start here. You clearly have everything you need to do great on HP. Keep at it. Rome wasn't built in a day, but you have a great start on a writing empire here.

On your second hub. You need to add your picture capsules, amazon or Ebay. smile

I would also recommend letting your hubs sit for at least 24-48 per hub it indexes and ranks higher before you publish. You will also be able to identify if the Title is a highly saturated or not.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.

Shadesbreath, I don't find what you said harsh at all. Proofreading  is very good advice. I will go clean up the article. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

AEvans, what do you mean letting hubs sit for 24- 48 hours? Does that mean hit the save but don't publish button? I am still very new to all of this. I will go back and beef up my second hub. I totally jumped the gun, and hit publish before it was ready.

Thanks again to both of you for taking the time to read my hubs, and give me some pointers. I truly appreciate it.
