I just stomped on the first centipede of the year.

I saw some garter snake babies a couple days ago (I haven't seen a garter snake in years, prior to that).  It's definitely Spring here in Michigan.

EDIT:  Unlike Eric, I just observed the wildlife wink

Oh, my goodness, I love this time of year. You guys are into the snakes and bugs and you are missing the wonder of the buds on the trees, purple flowers appearing on red bud tree, daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and the robins!

Yes, we had one of the most gigantic centipedes my husband killed - oh that thing must have been 5 inches long - no fish story - really.

This is my first real spring in my new vintage house. I planted peonies, lilies, daylilies and everything is up but the peonies are barely poking through.

My mother in law who is a farmer says there is a Midwestern saying, fog in January (which we had), frost in May.

Any other predictions for the spring?

My favorite item for spring is smell of fresh cut grass!
