Today as I began answering my Hub Mail and answering comments and questions, I came accross a Hub Pages Notification that I was no longer permitted to give answers in the HP "Answers" section.
There was absolutely no reason given for this decision, and when I tried to ask the question "Why" in the Answers section Hub tutorial and community, I was denied to even ask "Why" and told that my priviledges would be restored in six days.

Who or what makes such decisions? Why is there no reason given as to "Why" this has been decided? Is someone at Hub on an ego trip, or did they simply press the wrong button and then fail to correct their mistake? Is this some automated system that is out of control?

I don't know, but I would like to know as well.  Just last week I was "denied the right to answer or ask questions" for a certain amount of time.  I have no idea what I did to have that right denied, they gave no explanation.  I emailed the hubpages team 2 times, and have been ignored.

I sometimes get the feeling that there is someone sitting at a keyboard there and if they happen to push the wrong button, they are helpless to correct it.

I wouldn't be surprised! It is really frustrating sometimes!  They could at least contact you though and let you know there was a mistake made.

Dave: Please contact our support team if you're unclear as to why you were temporarily barred from asking Questions.

Emily: I see that you did have an email exchange with our support team about this issue. I'm not sure why you're saying that you haven't.

No, I got an email back from the team about a different issue.  I never received a email concerning why I was banned.

Jason I have just now sent my queery as you instructed. I am expecting you to follow up for me at Hub Pages, since you are a staff member.

It is we the Hub Writers that keep Hub Pages up and running. Without the thousands of writers, it would be rather difficult for this site to remain up and running, and just as difficult for those holding positions of employment with Hub Pages to retain their job status.

If this is just a clerical error, someone hit the wrong button on a keyboard, errors can be fixed. I do not believe that I have willfully or deliberately said or written anything that was inaccurate or improper so I want this examined thoroughly and dealt with swiftly please.

      Respectfully,

      Dave Mathews/Author

    Dave,
Out of curiousity, were you priviledged to hear back from the team concerning your ban?  I have yet to.....they have ignored everything I have done.

You've received three emails from the support team in the past week alone, 2 of which you replied to.

I don't wish to argue, but the fact is I received one email concerning one of my hubs.  I have never received an email from the team concerning why I was banned, and I most certainly never replied to something I never received!  You must have me confused with someone else.  I mean, why would I lie about this?  What would be my reason for doing that?  I simply would like an answer and for this to be corrected.  I am not out to cause trouble.

Emily: Yes I received a response. I am banned from giving answers for (7 days) because I spoke the truth. Someone at Hub thought my answer as being rude. Imagine me rude? Hmmmmm?

You don't have to answer, but may I ask what answer it was that you gave that caused you to be banned?  Maybe that is why I was banned--for speaking the truth and they do not want to come right out and say it......

Hub wouldn't let me see the response I gave to see if it was rude or not, but I do have a tendency at times to be a little sarcastic, especially if I think the question has little or no merit or is totally ridiculous or stupid. I'm not afraid or ashamed to let other know what I think or feel.
Jesus used to get a little sarcastic too with his responses, that's why he used parables or stories for the masses, but spoke straight-forward to His disciples.
