I would like outsiders opinions of things I can do to increase views, improve my writing, or make more money on hubpages. I am new at writing and while I have been here two years I have only been actively writing for about 2 months if that. I know a lot of my hubs have a personal touch and those are aimed at people who have been through what I have so I am not looking for how to fix those. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I currently get about 100 hits per day and only 10-20 are google views.

HI peeples, I must say I have rarely had a hundred a day, but I get best results with 'ping-a-matic'.
It appeares the best subject to write about is how to make money here, that always gets the best views.
I write about things I like, food, food, a few other things, and food.
      good luck

Update your old hubs with low hubscore, go hub hopping, more viewers read your hubs and add photos or video. I have the same problem too, Only 30 viewers per day. Hub earning not going up. How about you?

I hope one of the HP "experts" will chime in, but here are a few ideas...

Have you tried updating any of your older hubs? I know they're evergreen, but sometimes adding in a new paragraph or revising an old one will increase page views.

You could try adding in youtube videos that relate to your hubs, polls, and quizzes to keep people on the page longer. I liked your article about foster parenting, for example - maybe you could add a video about the foster parenting experience.

I never even thought of putting a video on the foster care related ones. I struggled with not knowing what type of pic to use for them. Great idea!

Looks like you have done a great job writing about a variety of topics, and watching your grammar / spelling. You may want to write more hubs about topics that work well for you.

What I did was read a lot of other hubs to analyze what I really liked about them.  I figured those are the types of things that people would like about mine.  Then I went back and made those changes on my hubs.  I've written a hub about the Hub Scrub Project. I listed a bunch of things I felt I  needed to do to make my hubs the best that they can be.

I recommend making a list of all changes, so you don't have to keep revising your hubs over and over again, but if you don't want to take that kind of time, I would recommend the following for you:

    1. Use images - they add interest. I see that you have some, but a lot of your hubs don't have images.  You can go to creativecommons.org to find photos that you have a right to use on a commercial site such as this one.  Just be sure to properly attribute the source.

    2.  Separate out your hub into sections, and title each one separately using the header format.  This way, someone skimming it will know what it is about.

    3.  Look over your titles to make sure that it properly explains what the hub is about. Would you use those words to search for that article on a search engine?

I wish you the best here!
