I am trying out MLA format citing in the hubs. When citing, I am including the link in the Works cited area. The link is not blue, or live. I know we can only have 1 link to any given source, so should I still hyperlink in the text? If so should I hyperlink the article name in the in text cite, or in the text itself? Or would having the URL, not linked and a link violate terms? I am going to post the link here in a few, when I finish editing the article, so I can get your full advice.
Ok here it is. I have the cited parts in the section I cited, should I move them to the bottom? Before or after the pics?

IMHO, the in-text citations look and read very awkwardly here to me. Matter of fact, I probably wouldn't use the Orkin cite at all, since you're really just talking about pretty generic information.
If you are really set on using citations, I would just hyperlink the words "Orkin" and "Ohio State" in the body of the text to the appropriate web page, and then take all of the other stuff and put it at the bottom of the doc in a separate capsule as a footer. You should also set the text off by using a different font or a different size or something.
Just my two cents...
Thanks you two! I am going to make those changes now. Interestingly enough, since I gave this hub a good hard edit (I know it is probably still not perfect), it has gained a few organic visitors. I don't know if editing it for readability and quality did that, or just because it is finding its natural position in the search results now that a few weeks have passed.

I would love to see a citation feature that would build a source list for us much like you see on wikipedia. I want to be able to drop a source in as I write and have a bibliography and footnote notation appear. Right now I highlight text and use links or place a links capsule with...

This is an extension of my earlier question posted here, "Regarding HubPages policy about Hub publication of material published elsewhere on the Web." The same *core* issue is at stake in this post — HubPages says that we may NOT "...publish Hubs or Hub Content that are...

I like to add in-text links when I'm talking about certain products as I not only think they are some of the most effective, but also some of the most helpful. What I don't understand is why there is a limit of 2 in-text amazon links whereas we can make a slew of Amazon links using the Amazon...

I looked and looked. I printed out the page on the html crash course for HP, but it does NOT tell me where to place the code.I clicked on code and played the video and that doesn't explain it either. Is there a tutorial? The capsules are great, but it is easier to make text a hyperlink.Your help is...

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...

I'm pretty new to HubPages (joined 6 weeks ago but got "busy" about 2 weeks ago posting Hubs) -- I got spanked last week and had a hub taken down temporarily for citing direct links to the particular information relating to multiple parties (all of which linked to SEC.gov, but different...
