Help! If I could just figure out how to stop it: I have suddenly started gettiong multiple spams in the comment section of several hubs. I keep deleting them, but they're multiplying like rabbits. Do I need to report the senders?
Everyone is getting them, there are several forum threads about it. Do you moderate your comments? All of the spam I have gotten in the past two days has been caught by the spam filters and not posted.
Mine did not go public but it is so annoying to have to deal with them.
No need to report them. Just delete them when they arrive. You can do that by checking your spam comments. Each comment when I checked on mine has a different IP.
These spammers need something better to do. Too much time on their hands.
It doesn't take them any time, it's all automated.
Sorry for any frustration and thanks for all the info.
This is a known issue.

That is up to Hubpages to figure out how to stop them.

Thanks guys. I had 12 more this morning - and I simply deleted them. I do moderate my comments...I was mostly concerned with the fact that this started on one hub, then two, and now three. Try as they might, I can push the delete button all day if need be!
The first time I saw an email notice that I'd gotten comments on a few of my hubs that aren't doing that well, I thought, "Yay!"
Now I wish they'd leave them the heck alone. Just spam. Yes, I can push the delete button all day but it's annoying, discouraging to think my hubs are only getting spam and it's a hassle.
I do have to approve all comments before they're seen by others but again, for the reasons above.....can't HP do something to help us out?
I haqve been getting a lot lately as well and they are nonsensical...I delte them forever but they keep coming...can we do anything other than delete forever?
is it something I havent done ...like a filter that needs to be on my hubs? I dont know...just wondering

Have you received any spam comments on Hubpages?I've been on HP for a long time and this morning was the first that I ever got a spam message to one of my hubs. I denied her comment and deleted her forever, but nonetheless, it was still disturbing. The commenter tried to direct me to another site...

Just in the past 10 minutes or so I've already gotten 3 spam comments, all on the same hub! And whenever I delete one, it seems another immediately comes up!I'm sure that when I wake up tomorrow (it's almost 1 in the morning now) I'll have many more to delete. Ugh, is there a way to stop these spam...

I started getting a few spammy comments a few days ago. I posted a thread and someone suggested changing my comment settings to allowing only signed in users being allowed to comment and approval before they were published. So I changed my settings. Today the spam was even worse, took me a half...

Hi,One of my Hubs has been showing comments from different people that are unrelated to my post. It seems to be entire discussions going on about another subject. Is anyone else seeing this?

I receved a comment that is strange and disturbing. I won't be approving it, but i don't really know what to do. The comment has nothing to do with my content. Instead i is writen like a response letter to me. It makes it look like I am participating in something that breaks Googles adsense TOS. I...

Is anyone else getting a surge in spammy comments in their Hubs? I seem to be getting at least one or two every day now. I only get the opportunity to check my comments once a day, and I delete the spammy ones. I got a snippy comment from another hubber stating "Wow, you let...
