Human Trafficking Awareness-Abducted Kidnapped Children That Are Missing

Human Trafficking Stop The Madness!

Baby Blue Song About Human Trafficking

What Is Human Trafficking? Becoming Aware

Have you ever seen the Lifetime movie called Human Trafficking? This movie enlightened me regarding human slavery. I knew children were abducted and kidnapped but never realized they are sold and used sometimes as sex slaves. This actually made me physically ill. I wanted to write about this subject because people need to be aware. This is actually happening in many places, not just foreign countries but also in the United States. I thought slavery ended after the Civil War but this is a much different and very profitable type of slavery. It involves prostitution, and also the porn industry. If you are a man and reading this and you have ever watched porn think about it? Do all of these young women volunteer to do porn? The answer is no, most women are abducted and kidnapped and are forced to be a prostitute or be involved in pornography. This could be your daughter, wife, sister or neighbor. This involves big money and high demand. Who do Human Traffickers target ? Anyone who is vulnerable. Most are runaways or the very poor. The age can be the youngest from age 6 yrs to 21 yrs. The younger and naive, they more power they have to manipulate them so they are fear full of trying to leave. It's all about control.

Many women and children are abducted each year. Travelers are great for them to target, especially very poor countries. The laws regarding people who are abducted are much different in those countries. Be extremely careful when you travel with your children. Never leave them alone in a hotel room. Teenagers, especially runaways are easy for them to snatch up. Also the net has been a place where they can target and emotionally abduct them. What do I mean by this? Talk to your children and let them know about predators, even on the net. Face book and any type of social networking sites. My son who is 14yrs old just opened a Face book account. He told me a 44 yr old man who he doesn't know kept emailing him and wanted my son to be friends with him. He opened up and told me about it. He kept rejecting and we blocked him. This is exactly what I am talking about. Young boys and teenagers are just as much a target as well. Be open and honest with your children is the best education. I let my son know to only accept the people he knows. Children that feel lonely or suffer from depression I would watch closely. Teaching our children self defense moves is also a good strategy in case something were to happen. Tell your child if he or she was ever abducted to never let the person take them, try hard to kick, run and take two fingers and punch hard in the throat this will give some time to run and get away. Also to never talk to strangers. The more educated your child is about this topic the better.

Thank you! This is a subject that should be in the media spotlight continuously until more legislation and action is taken rather than the occasional hype that fades as quickly as it rises. Social networking is no doubt a haven of glory to a lot of very sick individuals.

No fiction here! Thousands are abducted each year. Learning as much as you can can help prevent it!

This subject has been portrayed in mystery fiction quite a bit."The Rosary Murders" if I recall correctly had a prologue about it.

This is a very well written hub about a frighteningly under-discussed topic in the states. I was very aware of human trafficking in Europe, and I recognized that it was a problem here as well, but not to this extent. Thanks for a very informative and well written hub to bring attention to this horrible thing.
