The Mexican Twilight Zone

Updated on July 2, 2011

Mapini Silent Zone

The Silent Zone

Between the 26th and 28th parallels, along the 104th meridian, lies a desert region called Vertice De Trino, the point that marks the juncture of three Mexican States, Durango, Coahuilla and Chihuahua.

This area has become known as “The Silent Zone” although some refer to it as the “Twilight Zone”.

In this zone, strange things are often reported. There are many reports of horribly mutated animals and plants. There have been sightings of ghosts and other reports of people hallucinating.

It is known as the silent zone because no kind of radio transmissions can enter or leave the area.

Athena Missile

The Twilight Zone

It became known to some as “The Twilight Zone” after an incident on 11 July, 1970.

In Green River, Utah the US Air Force launched an Athena missile 122, on a test flight. To their horror, the missile veered drastically off course.

The situation got a lot worse when the missile crossed the Mexican border and continued deep into the country.

Obviously a team was sent to locate and recover the missile.

Fortunately the missile had landed in an unpopulated area in a Mexican desert.

The team did however have difficulties. No matter what they tried, they could not get any kind of transmission out of the area.

Later, evidence seemed to show that the missile had some how been “pulled” to the area but no explanation as to how could be found.

Today

Ever since the mysterious incident with the missile in 1970, scientists have been hard at work in the area, trying to resolve what happened. They have also investigated the other mysterious happenings in the area, in case they were somehow linked.

Up to this time, they still have not been able to come up with even one clue, as to what caused this or other reported mysteries in the area.

Is this, officially called, “Mapini Silent Zone” a place where dimensions meet? Is it a place where unknown forces, beneath the ground are causing mysterious affects on the surface?

Is this another BermudaTriangle? Are there any others in existence or about to come into existence?

As science advances and archeologists continue to unravel our past, will answers to this and other mysteries one day be found?
