What do high powered non-heating microwaves feel like?

With all the talk about the negative health effects of cell tower, WiFi and other forms of non-ionizing (non heating) radiation, I'd like to know what it actually feels like (physical sensations) of standing in close proximity (direct exposure) to pulsed/focused) high powered microwave sources. For example, what does it feel like to stand in front of high powered radar, or in the path of microwaves from a cell or WiFi tower? Are there any electrical engineers or microwave technicians out there who have actually felt the immediate sensory exposure effects?
