   Asssuming that the question refers to work on a pc;
   
   Put the documents in maps specially created for the work. Give the filename a date. Store everything on an external hard disk and/or usb-stick. You won't loose your work if a virus or something else happens to your pc.

   Work to be done quickly at the same time efficiently needs a high quality of planning and management by an individual. The top tips which I consider to be fruitful are:-
   
   1. We should always keep a note pad and jot down the important works in it as per its flow.
   2.We should then list them in an orderly manner and prioritize them as per their importance.
   3. Give two minutes to yourself and review the list.
   4.After all this is done complete the work by fixing an estimated time for it which would show how good you can manage your work and thus you would along with finishing your work also learn how to do a good management.
   5.Your presence of mind also plays a great role.
   6.Along with all these tips the most and the last important thing is that we should always review our work once it is done.
   
   I had been trying to follow these tips and they have proven to be useful to me.

   As this question wasp placed in the teaching category I thought it would be obvious that I was talking about marking a piece of work from a student, or class of students. Perhaps this is something lost in translation - should I have said grade papers instead?

   A good marking guide, with objective criteria and/or rubrics - a must for consistency and quick decisions, especially when a group is marking the same set of assignments. But it also helps speed the process.
   
   If marking electronically, then a 'common feedback' file can hold comments for cutting and pasting.
   
   A set of symbols that are 'short-hand' for corrections/feedback can really make a difference in speed.
   
   For detecting plagiarism, an online tool can automatically detect and flag suspicious work.
   
   Of course, marking should never be done in a bad mood, hungry or when low on sleep - it causes inconsistency.

      Great answer! I especially love your opening sentence on having a marking guide with objective criteria/rubrics. Also, having boilerplate handy for marking electronic corrections is a super idea. I'm not a teacher, but these concepts apply there too.
