If you had absolute power, what would you do to improve life on earth?

This question was brought up in a class discussion and among silly comments I've heard some pretty intriguing ones as well so I wanted to learn what others outside of this room had to say about this...

Absolute power? Do u mean absolute power like a King or absolute power like a god? If it is like a King, it is kinda ruling wisely is not easy and if the people felt u are not ruling in their interest, it might be bad news. As a King I might adopt a constitutional monarchy system, where the King don't need to operate the executive branch of the government, but is left up to a Prime Minister, who are elected by the people. If u ever read constitution of constitutional monarchy country and President ruled country, with the exception of the having the President ruling the nation itself (assist by a secretary of state) or the Prime Minister is appointed by the President rather then elected, the power of a King is same as a President in a constitutional monarchy. But as King, I will do well to supervise the government, only approving legislation that is in favor of the people and if the Prime Minister is corrupt, I will call on nation wide election to decide wether to sack the Prime Minister and if approved, appoint a care taker Prime Minister, till a new one is elected.

If I am a god, the first thing I do, is rid the world of the Yahweh cult (Islam/Christianity/Jewish faith) and let them become history, just like the ancient greek gods. I won't initiate the change by force. Instead, I will send my angels to reincarnate to the earth, to convert people away from them, just like how educated of the 17th century, converted westerners away from Christianity and towards blasphemy, to allow the rise of the age of enlightment. (E.g. proverb 3:5: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in other word, this passage teach u not to be educated, but blindly follow the teaching of the bible, regardless of true or false, teaching like these play a large role in the dark ages, as many educated that have discover fact that contradict the bible was executed, before that, even learning independent from the bible is death penalty.) blasphemy also allow the rise of democracy revival, human right and civil right (e.g. democracy is a sin roman 13:1~7 For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. and demoractic elected leader aren't exactly from Christ) I will send angels to earth, to lead non believers to protect themself from corrupt religion organization, just like how Napoleon ended the 1000 years of tyranny of the Catholic church and ended all inquisitions (including the Spanish inquisition) or how modern US is fighting ISIS.

Shifting to solar reduces Muslim's funding for terrorism but does not stop the violence in the name of Islam whether Muslims on Christian and atheist, Sunni vs Shia or both those sects against Almaddhi and Sufi Muslims.

I've already done it. I chose not to have children. smile
Seriously though it's been said the average American produces 102 tons of garbage in their lifetime. With regard to carbon emissions the average American is responsible for 19.8 tonnes per year.
More than nine in 10 adults say they already have children, are planning to have children, or wish that they had had children.
Ironically those choosing not to have children are often called selfish.
In reality it's the most (unselfish) "green" thing a person can do!
