I'll be the first to admit that I know very little about traditional Chinese moral standards. What little I do know comes from a short time I spent working for a Chinese family here, and I generally learned it only after I'd committed a faux pas. More often than not, this only meant that I learned what was NOT accepted, but not a lot about what IS.
