If you look at the definition of myth, it's a story that often pertains to something that cannot be proved.
In that sense, rebirth or reincarnation is definitely a myth.
However, many believe reincarnation to be true and feel they have the facts to back up their claims.
If their claims are to be believed, then rebirth or reincarnation is not a myth, but fact.

Why is it that if a good person claims to see god it is believed but....if a serial killer or crack addict says that it is not believed? For believers do you believe God would only talk to positive people?

Science of itself does not present claims and reasons on issues; others interpret it wrongly; it is a useful tool of the humanity ; and if interpreted correctly it is not in contradiction of the truthful religion.
