Why is it okay to believe in God, but not in people with psychic abilities?

It has been scientifically proven that people can have or can develop psychic abilities (remote viewing, precognition, psychokinesis etc), yet no-one can prove the existence of God.

Honestly, I think science is beginning to catch up to the truth: there's a lot to the universe your species has yet to figure out.

Like remote viewing, for example. If your religion doesn't want you to believe in psychic abilities, then it's not the religion for you.

God does not interfere with free will. But humans do.

I think it's okay to believe in anything you want. I'm liberal-minded that way. As long as your beliefs don't affect the liberty of someone else, it's fine.

Because it's not profitable to the church for people to believe in psychics, especially since such people have been condemned by it in the past. Personally, I believe there is nothing outside of the realm of possibility, there's just plenty that goes out of the realm of the easily proven or socially-accepted norms.

Honestly Nick B, you have to decide for yourself what is right.  I've often wondered was it "supposed to be" wrong to believe in those who portrayed themselves as Psychics (i.e. using cards, and crystal balls and other trinkets whereas they seemed to be accessing a realm that seemed particularly evil) or those who don't make themselves into an "act" but yet use it for good.  (Those who have helped law enforcement solve crimes).  I think it's one of those things you will never truly know the answer to.

    When I see clouds...
    When I see birds flying...
    I believe that there's a creator.

I have an ability in palm reading
also in giving meaning to dreams...
hence I believe that's the gift from Above...

I never questioned for God's existence...
but I knew that all the liberty is with Him
when He want me to stop on sharing my abilities.

Yes, it's okay to believe in God, but never in people with psychic abilities because there's no assurance on that...

For me, the existence of God is not to be proven anymore, it is to believe in. If you have enough faith in yourself, it is not important whether or not it is generally real or proven real to EVERYONE. BECAUSE every step scientists make, is already an evidence that God is real.

    If you believe that -
God is that Higher force which we are not equipped to see with the human body just like a cockroach has monoccular vision and hence sees only black and white images.  That in no way implies that we dont have colored images?  Right?
The risk factor of believing in psychics is that you may get addicted to their premonitions and foreboding.
They utilize /expend a lot of energy to foretell what they do.  Besides, you should do your best and let your Good or Bad Karma decide what fruits you will get for your actions.  Everything is predetermined in this Universe based on action and reactions of past and present.  Nothing ever happens by chance!
    Sorry Long sermon!!!
