Will you protect the environment by destroying the modern technology or creating new technology?
Gradually moving towards green technology will be good for the environment. We can't do this instantly and the old technology will be around for quite some time but more and more companies are moving the greener alternative that are durable and that will also save money in the long run.
Technology has brought so many great things that we enjoy today, to the mankind. If a costs and benefits of technology are compared Benefits far outweigh the costs. It is up to the responsible, right thinking people to use technology with highest possible benefits and least costs.(environmental damage). When new technologies are introduced or potentially harmful technologies are being used these have to be reconsidered. Sweden's referendum on nuclear power (1980) is a fine example. They stopped constructing new Nuclear power stations and phased out the ten already running reactors.
(But Sweden lifted the ban in June 2010 to build new Nuclear power stations. Sweden is said to have the safest technology for nuclear power reactors)
Our goal should be to, make Technology morre efficient. Remove, anything that is not reparable; update that which can be updated and; implement New Technology to create a more green environment.
Thanks for the question H.P.
