    Will we as a race of living beings, be more or less populated in the future?

    Based on what you have witnessed between kid of your youth, and the kids of today, do you think the world will be more or less populated in the future?

    I think we'll be more populated, but then we will lose numbers again because the population will become too much for the planet to support.

    Demographic studies indicate that the earths population will peak at around 12 billion then birth rates will come close enough to death rates to stop a rise or decline in population.  This would be true unless some catastrophic event that demographic statistics can't predict happens that kills a large number of people.  This was a big topic in a 300 level sociology class called population i took a semester ago.

    That 's the reason why I strongly believe that life not only replenishes itself, but that it also corrects it's mistakes . Thanks for your answer on that level quite interesting.

    Given that our current population is mostly supported by the use of non-renewable resources, I think a large decline in population will be difficult to avoid.
