    Share your tips and tricks on getting your ADHD child to slow down and do their homework carefully?

    My son loves to rush through his school work and get it done whether it's done correctly or not.  I can't get him to understand that he should ask questions if he doesn't understand or know how to do it.  Instead he would rather do it wrong and redo it for a lower grade.  I'm frustrated with this behavior.

    make his/ her surroundings seem calm and mellow and just maybe they will calm down just enough to accomplish homework

    It may help to have a set amount of time for homework no matter when he finishes. If he finishes early, he has to study with you; doing quick, sloppy work accomplishes nothing. If he continues doing it wrong, the study time afterward will still help him understand.
