yes i have...and i would rather not share what it is....but as a result of that happening a time of great introspection occurred...and while i would rather have not had the initial experience, it was a life changer. it is kind of like the saying...when life gives you lemons, make lemonade..
    i had a choice
i could be swallowed up by the experience
i could go forth and turn it around for my life....

Poisoned at work 16yrs ago and found myself depressed, suicidal and frustrated with everything and everyone around me, including my family and life style that I now have to live... Just from them few seconds of contamination and months of specialists not knowing what i was contaminated with.. Was an above average fit person. Now classed as a below average life-form in front of a monitor.. :-(
I feel bitter, frustrated and confused (Why Me)? I ask myself!!

Yes, I travelled through a windscreen three times and spent several days in ITU and weeks healing and years emotionally healing. I now live in the moment, but plan for the future.
Nobody knows what is going to happen to change your life, so I treat each day as the first day of the rest of my life.

Quite a few times as a matter of fact.  Part of learning about life and how to deal with it is right there in your question.
