What do you think about what is happening to the people in the Nuba Mountains, in Sudan?

Families are hiding in caves and living on little or no food due to the bombing, rapeing and killing that is taking place in their villages by the government forces. Aide workers and journalists are being forbidden to enter the area. Recently the Heiban Bible School, supported by Samaritan's Purse was bombed by the Sudanese Air Force. What do you think of what is happening? Should the United States become involved?

I think the situation over in the Nuba Mountains in Sudan is of an extremely volatile and complicated nature, Lenzy. I'm sure I don't have the experience, education, or political know-how to respond well to this topic, so all I'll say is this:

It would be nice to see the US Military stay out of this and see other countries step in to problem-solve and take action in Sudan. The US is already a target for violence and feelings about US politics, military and government are dropping to negative values, so although people in Sudan need HELP, I think the rest of the world should do the helping and the US powers that be should work on the growing oppression and violence at home.

This may be a philisophical based answer but it's all I've got at the moment.
