What does "living the American Dream" mean to you and why? What do love most about being an American

Since moving to the States in the 90's, I have had the amazing opportunity to live the American Dream.  I love this country and what it stands for and feel so appreciative of the accomplishments I have achieved that I may never have attained in my own country. I have been blessed in many ways. On occasion, I feel that some born and bred Americans have lost sight of how great this country is and how lucky they are to be American. I would love to hear feedback regarding how others view this wonderful country and what makes them proud to be American?  What do they love the most about the USA?

that i can say this: the founding fathers and mothers of this nation of ruffians and outcasts would be pretty questionable of some decisions made since they left office or incarnation.

"Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country."
    - Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President

"Make the most you can of the Indian Hemp seed and sow it everywhere."
    - George Washington, U.S. President

"We shall, by and by, want a world of hemp more for our own consumption."
    - John Adams, U.S. President

I love the ideas that this country stands for. I love the history of America and it's evolution from hopes and ideals in men's minds, to the fruition of a country that values freedom and the individual soul of every person. Not that it has been perfect or has not made mistakes- but the fact that it started as an experiment and continues to be an experiment today. It is up to us what it becomes.
