HIPPA violation - Psychologist working on another child's folder while my son was being tested.
this child happens to also go to my son's school, and my son recognised the name. It seems the doctor had very little regard for either my son or the other patient. Should I report this?
I've worked in HIPAA situations, and that's a total violation of the rules. However, instead of reporting it, I'd have a very direct conversation with the psychologist and demand that this never happen again.
Do you have some other ax to grind with this person? Talking to him or her seems a more human response than just grabbing the phone and making life hell by involving the local bureaucrats.
