This is a very sad day ... it looks like I will be leaving Hubpages

My Google AdSense is in violation due to the fact that I canceled my adsense account by mistake.  I got confused when trying to restore the account and somehow in the process made another account.  I'm very disappointed with Google for not having a live person to speak with in these types of matters.  I've exhausted all my avenues in trying to get in touch with them through email forms, and all I get is the same thing.  Every situation is different, and in no way have I done anything devious other than getting confused, and now I have been penalized for just being human.  Hubpages is losing a decent writer.  I truly enjoyed being a part of this community, but the headache and stress of a process that should be much simpler has brought me to this point.  I've already read that creating another Hub account is pointless, and there is no other fix.  My sanity and time is important to me, and without any help I am finished here.  It's really sad that Hubpages does not have a mediator who works with Google on these type of issues.

Ziyena, can't you add your new Google AdSense account to your HP account? I'd really hate to see you go. I agree tho, I've tried contacting Google regarding two Google+ accounts I have (one of which I'd like to delete) and can't get a live body to talk to.

If there is no hope for saving your Adsense account, you should make sure you save all of your articles. You can do this with a Firefox add-on called ScrapBook. Here is a very good tutorial by a Hubber on how to use it:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aUmTRrEsyE

Then, if you want, you can start publishing your work somewhere where it can still earn money. Of course, if you go that route, make sure the articles are de-indexed from Google and Bing search engines; you can do that by waiting and checking on them in the search engine after you've deleted them, or do it manually through both Google and Bing Webmaster Tools. So, you'll have to keep your HP account until you've finished that process if you are going to de-index manually through Webmaster Tools.

I have read many stories about the difficulty dealing with Adsense, how an honest mistake led to account cancellation and the proceeding difficulty communicating with Google Adsense. My impression is that they don't care. Nothing more frustrating than dealing with someone who really doesn't care.

Going to email you a few suggestions of what you can do with your content.

Edit: Was going to email you here, through HP from your profile, but couldn't. At any rate, hope this helped in some way.

I am leaving too if the earning from ebay that I see on my dashboard is not paid to me, it just does not make sense that someone has to have an ad sense account in order to earn with ebay, ebay is EPN and is not in anyway affiliated with ad sense so why force hubbers to get an ad sense account to be able to earn from ebay, I read so many confusing posts: some people are saying: even if you don't have an ad sense account you can still earn others are saying if you don't have an ad sense account you will not earn any money from ebay sales..... so which is it?

My one article earned me a very good sum of money on Squidoo via their ebay program but if it does not earn me anything I might just move it to my website, at least the keywords can bring good traffic to my site

I wish there was not this much confusion about what earns and what does not earn!

You cannot use our own eBay affiliate ID on HubPages.   The eBay program within the HP Earnings Program is operated by HubPages - you sign up for the account under HP, not in your own right.   The account you get can be used on HubPages ONLY, nowhere else.

HubPages has decided that Adsense is a prerequisite for all their earnings programs.    They have to insist on Adsense because the HP Ads include an Adsense component.     Perhaps they could allow people to sign up for their eBay and Amazon programs independent of HP Ads, but they haven't - perhaps it's administratively too hard.  Whatever the reason, it's their site so it's their decision.

If you don't have Adsense, you can't earn from any part of the HP Earnings Program - eBay, Amazon, HP Ads.   You can still use your own Amazon affiliate ID but NOT your own eBay affiliate ID.

so why do I see sales being tracked, so far I have about 8 sales from my ebay capsule, so they allow me to put an ebay capsule despite not having a google ad sense account, I see a ton of earning from ebay sales but I am assuming that I am not going to see a single penny from that and hubpages is going to keep all the money to themselves?? am I correct?

          1. Marisa Wright profile image89
Marisa Wrightposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Why did you put eBay capsules on your Hubs if you weren't signed up for the program?   They are not compulsory.  Or are these transferred from Squidoo?

Squidoo had eBay capsules.  Those all came over in the transfer.

Yes, I use to be on Squidoo, So the transferred ebay capsules was from squidoo, it showing me ebay sales that are done way after the transfer, one sale was 2 days ago, so it is definitely a hubpages sale...
the questions is:the earning I am seeing under ebay sales, will those be credited?
                Thanks

Sounds like this is a question that needs to be asked on the Squidoo section of the forums

I am so sorry this is happening to you, Ziyena.  I often find myself lost and alone when it comes to anything web. It all looks so easy and makes so much sense when I start, then is completely overwhelming once I actually implement it!
I'm sorry I dint have a skyrim for you but I did want to say, don't leave Hubpages just yet. First, there may be someone who can help you get. Abd second, anywhere else you write may require an adsense account and you will still be in the  same boat. Good luck. I hope you get it resolved.

Ziyena,  You stated in your comment your Google AdSense is in violation due to the fact you canceled your adsense account.  Start there and restore your adsense account.  Fix the violation by restoring your adsense account and see what happens. You also stated you started another account so you may need to get that taken care of before restoring the other.  I am not clear on what all you have done.  It is worth pursuing and let us know what happens.

    1. ziyena profile image91
ziyenaposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Yes ... I did try this already, and that is what the problem actually is.  The account can no longer be restored.  It is gone, but the new account remains which states that I already have an AdSense account.  What a mess, and it is so conflicting that I give up.  There are too many more important matters in my life than this silly complication that I unfortunately, I've created myself.

It never fails to upset me when I read of hubbers who are leaving due to a negative experience of any kind.  I'm sorry we have not met, but I do feel for you, Ziyena.  I will hope that somehow this issue can be worked out or that someone can possibly help to rescue you in time to change your mind.
Whichever you ultimately choose....I wish you peace, happiness & success....

I feel your pain, though I have not signed up as looking through it all it is a minefield and you can't get all the information you need until you have completed a,b or c.
As a result it is easy to make a mistake. It is not a sit back and wait for things to happen, it does require work and to take time to ensure you have done things to their script.
To me time spent writing is more important rather than getting frustrated.
I do hope you find a solution and compromise.

Can't you just forget Google Adsense and only join the HP ad program? They pay out a lot more anyway

Don't you have to be signed up with AdSense?  I look in my Earning tab and all other earnings options have been disabled, even Ebay due to TOS

You have to have an active Adsense account to participate in the HP ads programme, but this should not affect your Ebay account.  Was the TOS violation on Ebay itself or HubPages?

Sounds like you need to email the HP team and find out what is going on.

An active AdSense Account is required for eBay also, according to the TOS.

You still have to have a adsense account to be a part of the Hub Page program.

You can email Team Hubpages and ask for help. Maybe they can help you some way.

Adsense accounts are attached to your google account - and you can have a billion of them.  Why not start a new Google account and sign up for adsense there?

You wont have all the previous stats for adviews etc - but it should give you a new adsense account, and you can use that one from now on?

    ziyena,

Don't give up until you've exhausted all options to get this resolved. It's terrible that you are in this predicament just because of making a mistake that you think you can't back out of.

Even though Google doesn't have telephone support, they do have an interactive application support troubleshooter that you can work your way though…

    https://support.google.com/adsense/trou … er/2593096

Good luck with that. Hope it helps.

Google is horrendous for their support.  I have never been able to get my AdSense account working because I made one simple typing error when creating my account.  You get one shot at it and that is it.  If you make a mistake there is no one to help you.

    Hi,
Sorry you are leaving, maybe give it a few more days and try emailing or posting in their forum to get a response. I've tried to get an Google Ad Sense account and was turned down even though I have 11 feature articles. What is HP ads account that you can join? Tried and got amazon account but I need the Google Ad Sense account to use it.

I can't imagine how many requests for help google receives on any given day. In my experience, however, I have received help from google when I've asked for it. (I've also received responses from hp personnel. Thanks, hp.)

With google, wordpress and other big companies it can take quite a while for them to write back ... which is understandable given how busy they must be. There have been occasions when I've had to hit 'reply' and ask the writer to please remind me what I contacted them about. lol. (That's generally after I've sent off a bunch of DMCA notices and lost track of what the ticket # related to.) I've always found them to be pleasant and helpful.

When filling in the initial forms, I take the time to write as though there is a person reading my words - instead of just filling in the spaces with the bare minimum. I suggest anyone writing to google should make an effort to explain their circumstances, and actually ask for help.

We are, after all, writers. If anyone can communicate effectively, it should be us.
